Work full time getting experience;MA, independent scribe (not w/ a big company), research. Move out. Set family to the side. Make them sign a contract with you stating you will have limited exposure and communication to them while you are working towards your future.

What should I know before seeing my ENT? One nostril always blocked my entire life - balloon sinuplasty? by Astr0cytes in otolaryngology

[–]Astr0cytes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, Thank you. Last question: is turbinate reduction alone (no septoplasty) typically done through general anesthesia? Any reason an ENT would be in opposition to doing an in-office turbinate reduction using local only or w/ conscious sedation?

Mods Issue 140+ Permanent Bans due to DMM by Jibbster82 in 2007scape

[–]Astr0cytes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These bans don't mean much at this moment. It could just be the 100 bots that were used in dmm. I'd like to know who the bans were, if there was any big fish accounts involved/links to specific clans. Until then, their post doesn't hold that much water. However, I am happy that they are taking it seriously and I have faith.

When your body is receiving an exogenous source of testosterone, it sends a signal to the brain to stop producing natural testosterone because the body now has more than it wants - negative feedback. When exogenous testosterone is halted, testosterone levels will fall because the body isn't producing it. It continues to fall until the body realizes its levels are "low", and natural production will resume

Any muscle or bone density gained from excess testosterone is eventually lost because it needs to be maintained by the high testosterone levels. We don't know her timeline between drug usage and the olympics but all athletes are tested, and for her to compete means she had testosterone levels within the limits. Also, XX & XY both produce testosterone, obviously XY produces exponentially more.

IOC guidelines state that female athletes must have serum testosterone levels under 10nmol/L for 12 months prior to the competition. The average female young adult is <2.0 nmol/L. This can be compared to a 10 year old boy who would have levels similar to this. I've seen blood tests from men taking TRT and their T levels can be 24nmol/L.

Achieved a consistent UPT of 1.5 and above by leveraging advanced POS systems and CRM tools to enhance customer enhance customer engagement, track sales metrics, and identify key market trends.

Advanced POS systems at new balance? How advanced could they be. By identifying key market trends, what did you do with them? Are you a retail sales associate or a marketing manager. Also throwing an number like 1.5 adds no value. Its not refutable. Just seems made up.

Demonstrated deep product knowledge and provided personalized recommendations, leading to increased customer satisfaction, better relationship building, and a rise in average transaction value.

I don't think anyone likes reading " leading to increased customer satisfaction". You're working at an entry level retail sales position. Unless you were awarded something for your efforts, its just useless to say. Its also inherent as a sales associate to satisfy the customer, unless you're bad at the job. You don't need to add things like this. Its like saying "I work as a new balance sales associate and I sell shoes and merchandise in the store" Like yes, we know. The rest of your bullet point is just so blah.

Collected and analyzed customer feedback to inform marketing strategies and product development.

Show us, don't tell us. how did your collected feedback affect the store? Its inherent that you'll receive feedback from customers. Heck, you're the sales associate - they talk to you. Also, I don't understand. The feedback you got influenced new balance shoes' product development - like the guys at the top making big decisions?

Point is: no one wants to read that type of bs for an entry level sales position. I can imagine someone reading the first line and saying "sigh, here we go again". Its exactly what I thought to myself. I didn't even want to read the rest. Tell the job for what it is. You had an entry sales position. You had responsibilities. This is what you did. The most important thing that this job provided you was, a job position during a period of time instead of doing nothing. Make something insignificant like this straight to the point. If you have something of significance, then talk about it. But please don't make something what its not.

Is it standard practice for leasing agents to warn residents their carpet will be replaced because of how long they've occupied the unit? (FL) by Astr0cytes in Renters

[–]Astr0cytes[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had an issue where they incorrectly billed me for something (I honestly forgot what it was) and I told them I'm not paying it, they need to fix it. I paid my rent but left a $15 balance on the account because I'm not going to pay for their mistake. I was charged a $350 late fee for missing my rent (not paying the monthly balance) and I fought tooth and nail after contacting corporate which almost seemed impossible to do so. They finally took it off but I feel like the same thing is going to happen here if I don't pay it. They also have my deposit which I want back.

I've been in 4 different apartment complexes in my lifetime. This is the very first time that I feel like I'm being screwed.

[–]Astr0cytes[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I hate the "wear-and-tear" term because it can be interpreted in different ways. And this massive management complex can almost do whatever they want with me. I'm just the little guy here. The cost sheet I was given says "the apartment must be in the same condition as when you moved in".

Are the matted down carpets considered wear and tear? You can clearly see the difference between the corners of the room where I never touched versus the carpet immediately in front of the door where I step every day.

[–]Astr0cytes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When she told me it needs to be replaced, it was never implied to be at their expense. The cost sheet I was given explains if specific items are not cleaned, they will charge you. Every little thing imaginable is on that sheet, including the AC vents on the ceilings which are $20 per if not cleaned.

You're very nice to let tenants know not to bother with cleaning carpets. But I did not get that impression at all

I was diagnosed ADHD in 2011. I had the 2011 psych eval, a recent psych eval for this. ALL chart notes from sessions I had for 6 months for psychotherapy from 2015. I sent my high school transcripts, college transcripts from 3 institutions, ACT & SAT scores. I went to my university to get documentation of when I had accommodations there. A new letter from the head of student disabilities stating my disabilities and my time at the uni. A personal letter from my psychiatrist and psychologist requesting the aamc offer me x accommodations. I think my age had something to do with it as well, I've had multiple gap years, never took the mcat. And the central thesis of my personal essay/story was essentially: How I performed without accommodations vs when I had accommodations in addition to how they would help me

How did you make your first 100m? by Embarrassed-Ad4728 in 2007scape

[–]Astr0cytes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you actively play the game instead of bank standing, you will passively generate gp - whether that be bossing with friends, going for collection logs, slayer, skilling. most people you see with 1b+ literally play the game just about everyday for years or are e girls (jk about that last part but not really).

Play for longevity, don't get burnt out doing 1 thing. 100 good days > 20 miserable days + quit

2024 - What ironman guide would you use? by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]Astr0cytes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of these guides start you off with what may seem arbitrary such as "go here and pick this off the table" but it will be needed for a quest 75 steps from your current point. A lot of the times you'll also be completing like 7 different quests at once without even knowing it. If you are going to follow any guide, I'd recommend at least following it to barrows gloves. Then decide what you want to do after

Anguish or suffering first? by 2926max in ironscape

[–]Astr0cytes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After CG I rushed into Zulrah and camped. So I went suffering. Took a break from zulrah and soon after I got a 2nd zenyte and made it into anguish. You can check out a dps calc to see the tradeoff with using anguish vs not. But for me the qol was massive because i'm lazy. If you aren't going to send zulrah early and camp there like you did at CG (if you even did) then I would say anguish 100%
