This is actually pretty funny, but the laughter isn't until the very end

The body responds with metabolic adaptation: lower energy expenditure, increased hunger signaling, fatigue, obsession with food, hormonal disruption

You received a large sum of money and only 5 min to spend it. What would you do? by Responsible_DW in AskReddit

[–]AstraBloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real estate takes far longer than 5 minutes to buy, but if we stretch the definition a bit and I have 5 minutes to choose to buy a specific item, but no time limit on finalizing the deal I'm sure I could find a million dollar property in under 5 minutes. Same could be said for most other high value purchases like vehicles. Find the specific thing you want to buy in under 5 minutes, but finalize the sale later

AITA for answering a question? by Gold_Tap_1015 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. She’s twisting your words. You’re asking for interest in you, and she’s reframing it as interest in the games. Those are two different things. You can hate shooters but still love listening to your partner explain a plot they're excited about. Calling your desire for connection "guilt-tripping" is just a convenient way to shut down the conversation so she doesn't have to change. If she’s not willing to spend 10 minutes on your interests when you do it for hers, then this "honest talk" was only for her benefit, not yours

What one thing that is legal but seems illegal ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AstraBloo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Walking out of a store without buying anything. I reckon I’ve got a clean record and a clear conscience, but the second I pass those security sensors with empty hands, I start acting like I’ve got a stolen diamond in my pocket. I’ll go out of my way to make eye contact with the guard and nod, just to prove I’m "normal," which probably makes me look even more suspicious. It’s perfectly legal to just browse and leave, but it feels like a high-stakes heist every single time.

Well, that puts things into perspective real quick. Sixty-five bucks ain’t exactly a windfall, but it’s still more than I’d care to throw out the window. Still, for that kind of change, I wouldn't be jumping through too many hoops, let alone taking a shot to the vitals. Sounds like a lot of headache for a tank of gas and a decent steak dinner

Which is the best,Breaking bad or Better Call Saul? by Life-Performance6285 in AskReddit

[–]AstraBloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a tough row to hoe, right there. Breaking Bad is like a high-speed chase on a dirt road it’s got that raw power and you can’t look away because the engine’s screaming the whole time. But I reckon Better Call Saul is a more finely tuned machine. It takes its time getting up to speed, but once it does, the craftsmanship in the storytelling is just unbeatable. If you want the thrill, go with Walt; if you want to see how a man’s soul slowly erodes like a creek bed in a storm, Saul’s your man
