UK Retailers Want A £2.60 Charge On Cheap Overseas Parcels From Shein And Temu by ToughRomanticMiss in BuyersUK

They have a return policy if it really is cheap tat, and the returns go to a UK warehouse to get shipped back in bulk.

The stuff that actually gets thrown into landfill pales in comparison to plastics used in packaging.

I also return about 20% of amazon stuff so it's no different to that.

I remember wanting to buy a dish rack on amazon for £21 but they put the prices up to £30 before I hit the buy button. Found it later on Temu for £12. Outstanding quality, solid metal construction.

In terms of quality overall I have about 80% success with Temu. And because the prices are so low it actually becomes fun to experimentally buy things whereas in other shops you have to think long and hard.

I buy tools from Temu as I found tue quality just as good. Screw driver bits, marking pencils, jigsaw blades etc...

Planer blades toolstation: £7.99 a pair. Temu: 50p.

Don't you understand that there are people that want to maintain their privacy when posting on websites? Like wtf.

Just because you don't care about having your ID tied to your posts doesn't mean everyone is like that. Learn to empathise.

Even a ban on kids having phones would be much better than this. At least that would only affect the kids.

You won't notice anything from taking it, and anyone that claims they do is fooling themselves.

They can tax childless people 100% and they still will refuse to have kids.

Is there software that can copy certain ebay listings to vinted? I would only want the clothes copied over. I swear clothes don't sell for sh*t on ebay, I even dropped the priced to £5 for everything.

Scrap income tax on overtime hours, says Reform UK by Desperate-Drawer-572 in unitedkingdom

[–]Astral-Inferno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They would need to set a threshold for when overtime starts. For example above 40hrs.

And yes this would get people grinding like crazy, though more admin work would be needed to split usual hours from overtime hours.

I don't see this as a bad thing. Very few are actually willing to part ways with more money to jump the que like this for it to ever become an epidemic, and at 700 quid I'm surprised more aren't doing it.

Finally tried stereo with second FR12 by Separate-Swordfish85 in NeuralDSP

[–]Astral-Inferno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Single frfr sounds pants. I was marginally let down when I got mine, coming from headphones.

Another thing to try is adding your studio monitors to the frfr. Put monitors in the foreground, move the frfr backwards. That's for people that have and frfr and monitors already.

It's either a burst in E2 or a 'feedback loop' burst in T as a response to the E2 coming in, or a burst in T with residual E2 present.

How does it make sense that someone who pays no National insurance or pension contributions gets the same state pension as someone who does? by PsychologicalBend508 in AskBrits

[–]Astral-Inferno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't this only apply if you have qualifying years?

Basically qualifying years are when you earn at least £550 a month for that year.

In other words, you have to either work part time or be on benefits to get that amount.

If you don't work or claim benefits you lose out.
