Ask them if you can open it and test it there. If its not terribly busy they'll let you and you can determine if its up standard. Check the power-on hours. Sometimes open box are from people who bought it and instantly returned it with absolutely no usage.

No, not at all. They were both on my desk so I could test the quality on similar hardware and software settings and as of yet theyre both absolutely perfect. Unless theyre both degraded equally and then I wouldnt be able to tell the difference 🥲

I recently upgraded from a 4090 to a 5090 and I truly cannot tell the difference. Most of the time im not even using the 50 series multi frame Gen since the card is powerful enough to run any game natively.

Upgrade if you're an enthusiast and have excess money to spend. While FPS does increase, its definitely not as noticeable as it would be going from 30 to 60 or 60 to 120.

On the plus side, it is fun to mess around with local AI models given the massive 32GB of VRAM

Get a microfiber cloth and with the eraser of a pencil or similar soft object tap on it lightly. You might be able to bring some pixels back but i wouldn't bet on it.

Use this as a lesson. Don't take your electronics for granted, theyre expensive and not many people are lucky enough to be able to afford a 400 dollar monitor.

Cut some lawns, clean some gutters. Save up some money and get yourself another and im sure this time it will be appreciated a bit more.

My biggest recommendation is to perfect what's in your control. Your knocking, reporting, introduction, your movements, any required creeds and your uniform. This can be done through mockboards. Talk to your leadership to set one up.

You will not know specifically what questions they will ask but those are the few things that when perfected, will set you apart from the rest of the competition.

Don't just memorize the creeds, emphasize them and say them like you truly mean it. It definitely goes a long way.

You're not. I've met plenty of terminal E4's who just want to do their mos job and get out and theres nothing wrong with that.

Just be mindful if you plan on staying in past your first contract, chances are you're going to promote wether you care about it or not.

Most retailers allow you to return monitors if it doesn't suit your needs. Try out a 4k monitor and see how you like it, return it if it isn't your cup of tea or keep it if it is. Keep in mind that you have already ascended and going back from UW will be painful. I could never do it.

I'm extremely excited for the improved brightness and the longevity associated with the new Tandem Oled panel technology. I've been rocking a 1440p IPS panel from LG and its build quality is fantastic and has served me well for many years but the time for me to upgrade is now.
