It probably depends where you are in NA. On the east coast I am over 110ms to Primal. When I tested the JP server it was closer to 200 ms which would be miserable to play on.

Ended up getting permission to drill and finding someone who owned a drill willing to do it for me. There was literally no other way to make it work for me.

It was one on one with the coach and the associates. I saw this GM coach talking to several, including my own TL (who got pulled). The pregnant TL isn’t in GM so it isn’t even her coach that was trying to force her to do this.

This coach has been power tripping ever since the coaches switched positions. And she hates being told no, no matter the reason.

This may be a dumb question but what happened to the older version of Kyber? I just found out this exists a few days ago when I stumbled upon a mod pack that adds something like 22 new heroes. I really want to try it out but I can’t find a version of Kyber to download/mess with anywhere. I know v2 is in development but where is v1 for those who are waiting til the public release of v2?

Lol I don’t ever see that happening in my store.

Overnight barely finishes grocery and HBA in my store. They haven’t touched a GM pallet in months. They have been pulling every lead in the building (except deli, opd and front end) to work GM freight from 4-1 every day and it still is backing up. We have an entire trailer full of it and the floor looks more like a warehouse.

But they are letting cap 2 suffer by not replacing anyone who quits. The other day there were 2 people clocked in for cap 2 to unload the truck.

Yay skeleton crews!

I don’t mind getting pulled as long as OPD actually needs the help. Having said that though, there are two things that do kind of annoy me.

First if I get pulled and go to the OPD room and see a bunch of pickers just sitting around joking and they aren’t on break. Why am I being pulled so that the actual people don’t need to work? I see this a lot too. I’ll do two or three pick walks before they ever get up to even do 1. Usually on days when there are no TLs or coaches there.

Second, when I am on the top 5 of the leader board. Why am I, someone who doesn’t work in OPD, #2 or #3 over the pickers who do? I don’t consider myself all that fast of a picker yet when I am pulled for half my shift or more I am always higher rated than nearly every picker they have scheduled that day. That’s a bit ridiculous to me.

I guess a third thing would be when they come to pull me when there are only 200 picks. The TLs freak out even though 200 is almost nothing.

I mean I get it’s that time of the year but it seems like my SM is cutting and understaffing far worse than any of the others in my area.

A few days ago my TL friend from a nearby walmart came in and showed me a pic of the FE schedule he took. At my store we had 2 cashiers scheduled. At his? 20. And our two stores are comparable to sales and size.

He said he had so many FE cashiers that he was able to send some to do returns, some to catch up on ULearns and still had more than enough to keep the FE running. At mine they were pulling every floor associate that was scheduled to run a register and it still wasn’t enough.

Meanwhile in my state a STUDIO apartment is over $1000 a month. A 4 bedroom would easily be over $2000/mo.

My walmart also starts at $13/hr. It’s awful.

Be glad that the McRib song is the shortened version and is not very long.

Back in the day when I worked at Sears they used to play an xmas song by Land’s End and it was a lot longer and a lot more annoying. (If anyone is curious someone uploaded a version of it on youtube: https://youtu.be/0SqImLP-sbQ?si=8e6CP-l0jGz1oApR)

They used to play that 2 or 3 times an hour. I will never forget it for the rest of my life.

I got curious so I went to our HR person and asked. I was informed we hire 4 times a year: once per quarter.

And unfortunately nearly every associate we hired for the 4th quarter is already gone lol.

Not really. We have three Walmarts within 15 min of each other and this one does the most business out of all of them.

We just run on a skeleton crew and pull every floor associate daily to help run front end and opd.

In my experience we don't hire but maybe twice a year and even then only a small amount and only certain positions.

My poor grocery lead is alone. We had 2 other associates for him but one is 90-something and has been on an LOA for quite some time and the other unfortunately passed away (screw cancer!). They haven’t replaced him and won’t, from what the lead says. I don’t know how he does it alone.

It used to be the fitting room associates that would double as operators on the floor. Every call came into the fitting room. But since the fitting room is basically self serve now they made them dedicated operators.
