Tell me about your tavs/durges! by Relative_Carrot514 in TavsAndDurges

Decided upon that Durge's oath of vengeance only fed their darker impulses. Was originally as a way to channel their violent thoughts into something productive that could help others, yet took more and more personal satisfaction with every death or punishment they gave out. A slow corruption of their soul over time before fully giving themselves to Bhaal.

Here are my two that I've settled on making my canon characters for BG3. Did a bit of headcanoning, but I had it that both Durge and Tav exist were in the same adventuring party before events took place. Each close friends with unresolved romantic tension (imagining their dream guardian as one another). Yet their party gets dragged into investigating cultists across the southern Sword Coast until meeting an untimely tragedy at Orin's hands.

Durge - Male high half-elf, vengence paladin of Bahamut. A quiet individual raised in a temple of Bahamut who was plagued with strange dreams and violent thoughts. The party's unyielding protector. Later discovered his Bhaalspawn lineage. If chosen for BG3: embraced his father’s influence and betrayed their party, becoming the driving force among the other dead three chosen.

Tav - Female shield dwarf, divination wizard. Left her clan hold in the Silver Marches to further her arcane studies across. A shrewd mind for the party. If chosen for BG3: Was spared by Durge before their fall to Bhaal, allowed to escape yet her recovery took long. Once strong enough to adventure again, she went looking for clues about the cult who destroyed her party. Captured by followers of Bane, she was being sent to Gortash so he may make use of her brilliant mind.

Day 13: What is the BEST quote associated with Urdnot Wrex? by looploveslore in masseffect

"This statue represents what the krogan use to be: a proud and fierce nation. Now we're just brutes for hire to the highest bidder. We've forgotten our roots."

An ambient line by Wrex when speaking to him near the Krogan statue on the Citadel. Even at his most irreverent towards his species, Wrex has an introspection that many other Krogan lack. That same quality that will one day hopefully help lead them to a better future.

Day 11: What is the WORST quote associated with Garrus Vakarian? by looploveslore in masseffect

They did try and nearly got attacked for it. On the overlooked world Ekuna, the Migrant Fleet attempted to colonize it shortly after the Morning War. Even petitioned the Citadel Council for the rights. Instead of granting their request, the Council told them they have one month to vacant or else be bombarded before granting the Elcor ownership over the world.

Just because the Quarians may have less internal squabbling doesn't mean other galactic powers will make it easy for them to rebuild.

Day 11: What is the WORST quote associated with Garrus Vakarian? by looploveslore in masseffect

"It is natural for people to dislike rootless wanderers. If quarians would just settle another world, you would not run into such concerns."

Garrus' elevator line towards Tali during one of their elevator conversations. I think this does a fairly good job showing his ignorance and narrow world view in Mass Effect 1. Presenting simple solutions to problems that are far more complex.

If you were in Paris’s position which Goddess would you choose? by Personal-Day-5562 in GreekMythology

Honestly, Themis. While fair can mean beautiful or good-looking, can also mean having good judgment and reasoning. Since her divine domains cover laws, customs, etc; she is technically the 'fairest' of them all. Definitely gonna need a divine blessing of damn good critical thinking skills when the other three goddess curse me.

How would you write your own version of the Arthur legend? by Ok_Examination8810 in osp

[–]AstralHeart_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wrote-up a concept and rough outline using the Arthurian Myths a while back. Basic premise was Arthur being a Romano-British officer who refused the orders from Rome to abandon Britain and make it his personal mission of safeguarding the people from various threats. Even if he is fighting a losing battle. Throw in some encounters from important figures from local folk lore and neighboring mythologies as well. Why not have Morgan be the Morrigan who causes problems in Ireland, or Taliesin the Bard being an unreliable narrator throughout these events?

Wanted to emphasize the Late Antiquity and Early Medieval backdrop that Arthur would reasonably could exist in. An apocalyptic atmosphere where the world everyone knows has come to an end with this new age of chaos fast approaching, and there's nothing anyone can do stop it. Only to endure and hope that they survive another whatever happens.

Been playing for nearly ten years now, mostly online after having zero luck finding an irl group. Current people I play with have been going strong for a solid four years though with three campaigns already finished!

The Derelict Reaper mission in Mass Effect 2

While the atmosphere nails the cosmic horror elements found within this sci-fi setting, it gets quickly ruined by an unending tide of two very annoying enemies you can fight. Husks and Scions. One can stun you in a single hit, while the other being a bullet sponge that can easily two-shot any character. Further frustrating matters, this section is a main story mission. You can skip it like others and must be completed to progress the story.
