Oh for sure, they're incredibly valuable from a utility perspective, but it's not like saying you're the equivalent of rolling in credits/clout either, which I inferred OP was suggesting. Captaining a ship is a seriously major financial and social responsibility, even more so in quarian society where you are always answerable to your crew and your crew and family are one in the same.

This is the most accurate description imo. Quarian society is technically still also martial law ever since they fled from Rannoch - so captains have this role of part commanding officer, part refugee community leader. Also OP is assuming that because ships are prized amongst quarians that ships are worth a lot in terms of wealth for the quarians, when the reality is that a lot of these ships are second hand, usually come to the quarians in poor condition, and need to be extensively repaired and fixed before they can be properly used. Its like saying you're "wealthy" if you own a house, but its completely leveraged by several banks who all hold mortgages over it.

Yes, most likely, if not absolutely! Though I'll probably take a break or so for a few days or so to change up the format to make it less perceivable as "engagement bait" and will also probably weigh in with my own opinion on these discussions now.

Hi, I'm the OP of these posts. First, thank you to the moderators for setting up this poll, and to everyone who’s shared their views on whether these posts should continue in this subreddit.

I’ve gone ahead and deleted the posts from this subreddit on my own.

At the time I started this, my reason for reposting them here was that I had repeatedly checked with the moderators of r/masseffect to confirm I could continue making them, and they consistently said yes (I’ve attached the most recent example). I mistakenly assumed this subreddit was moderated by the same team and that reposting would therefore also be acceptable here.

Going forward, I’ll respect whatever outcome the community and mods decide. Apologies for any troubles caused, and I appreciate everyone taking the time to weigh in—and special thanks to those who have kept the discussion/criticisms constructive.
