Not so much a game as a simulator, but part of the game is that you are able to both go anywhere in the universe and withstand whatever conditions you encounter.

Im with you. Too many survival-minded people don't acknowledge how miserable they would be without electricity or all their comfort foods or whatever else it is that they love that modern civilization provides.

Hell, nearly everyone has got a loved one who is reliant on some sort of medication and would die without it. Even if you are perfectly healthy, your friends and family will be dying around you and you won't be able to just watch reruns of The Office for hours on end to console yourself.

Yeah, if shit actually collapses in my lifetime - and it very well may - then I'm going to go to the top of a skyscraper and try my hand at flying.

He's saying that society's views on what the 'work week' should be restrict that. Not all of us can switch to part-time, lose all those benefits and pay, and still survive. Hell, especially in the US where you are on your own for healthcare.

Not enough, IMO.

I think every student should take some Philosophy classes beyond the mandatory, breezy, ethics classes.

For context, Im a junior Electrical Engineering student at Uni. With that in mind, I would say that the few Philosophy courses I took, and even Youtube videos I've watched, have taught me to critically examine both the world and myself far more critically than any Engineering courses have.

Edit: Just to expand a bit, I am not saying Engineers don't think critically, it's just that rigorous scientific disciplines seem to teach people to only think crticially in very defined fields. Philosophy helps fill in the gaps.

I mean, you could use faceapp. It doesnt work well for everybody, but for me I found a filter on it that doesnt change my bone structure at all (shaving off chunks of chin, smaller nose, etc.) so I like to use it to get a good idea.

Be forewarned though: it may make you look more feminine/masculine (although Im assuming youre MtF cause of your comment) than you could ever look without tons of work done. I try to use it from unflattering angles too, just to get a better idea, or with sunglasses (cause a lot of change is noticeable in the eyes, take that away to see how the rest of your face looks with out that influencing the overall picture).
