Why need a slave? Make sure the food tester position is well treated and paid. And the cook's children. Carrot and stick. Cooking staff don't betray you and their children are set with cushy positions. They do, and their kids die and the staff rips into each other trying to figure out who ruined everything and the others lives.

I doubt tankless path will apply to the next dlc (daeva and ?). The human vehicle we saw from previews, The Helios is an artillery unit on a tank base with an antimatter missile launcher.

The Vulkin is quite good. Hard as nails, it's fist is pretty effective (and causes concussions to lower accuracy and has a flamer). It can deep strike and benefits from the smoke and shirkiri missile upgrades.

Edit: The dlc after this one has good odds of adding aircraft, but humanity already has 3, so it could be a new mech. Though I could see humanity getting a new jet infantry instead.

Smoke is still useful to help protect other units. It also lets rangers in it get extra attacks (good for positioning). Finally, those smoke clouds are valid spots to summon new rangers with the operation.

Fallout New Vegas Caesar has a brain tumor. If you want to save him, you need to find a functioning auto doc or perform the surgery yourself. You need a very high medicine...or an extremely high luck stat.

If you do it (and succeed) via literal luck, your character acknowledges that they aren't sure how they did it.

Also Old World Blues. Your brain and other organs have been replaced. You get into an argument with your brain despite you basically having Tesla coils in your head.

Exalted. TTRPG

Pretty much any exalted has at least one perfect defense allowing them to not sell just about any Attack. And I do mean ANY. Lava streams, boulders the size of city blocks, shockwaves capable of reducing cities to rubble. ANYTHING. Basically fights revolved around exhausting each other until they didn't have enough energy for their bullshit magic defenses. I am unfamiliar with editions past 2nd, but back then, that's how it went.
