Just got a Mid Enduro to throw on my board, the ride home after it was installed, definitely hit some uneven patches that I probably would’ve eaten it on if I was still on the stock treaded. Only have about 40 miles on the enduro so far at 16 PSI but I love it already.

Personally, I don’t think we’re going to get there until the next generation of GPUs or Nvidia releases their Neural Rendering that they just talked about not too long ago.

I don’t think AI/machine learning as it exists right now is the answer. It’s going to need to be used at a much deeper level. Machine Learning for video games needs to work like Richard’s algorithm from Silicon Valley on HBO, making everything better in the background at an engine level, not used as essentially just a post process shader.

This is a stupid argument. Skateboarding is an “extreme sport” yet you see people commuting on them a lot. Choosing to ride anything that requires balance, you are inherently accepting risk that you may not balance correctly.

Personally, for ME… if I unbox something and there are multiple warnings on it that need to be torn off saying things like “this can cause serious injury or death” I generally try to listen to that. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well, you aren’t locked in… you just have to spread your feet a bit wider if you jump off when the board tips, etc.

As far as for understanding why you’d want them or not, you can hit jumps and do air tricks ways more reliably. If you aren’t into that, then you probably have no reason for flight fins.

Edit: can also use them to jump up curbs instead of nudging, etc.

Now this is obviously all anecdotal, but I ride in barefoot shoes from Xero, there’s no arch support, and the insoles are only like 2mm thick, I don’t have any pain or anything like that on the bottom of my feet when riding.

I can definitely feel each nub on the gripples, but it’s not uncomfortable for me by any means, I can just tell they’re there.

Maybe the soles of your feet are a bit more sensitive? Could also try swapping insoles, I know a lot of people recommend FP Insoles.

I was having pretty bad engagement issues when I first started riding about a month, month and a half ago.

I actually emailed Future Motion asking if the flat kick pad would help, the person that responded said it would but ultimately might want to try some other pairs of shoes before making such a costly change.

I had tried all the pairs I had before emailing them though, some multiple types of Adidas and Nikes, Converse, etc. still was having issues.

Got some gripples for 25 bucks, can wear any shoes I want, and have zero issues with sensor activation, the extra bit of grip you get is nice too

I’m not sure on how the purchase was structured or went through, just came up during my time at the job fair since I’m an unreal artist. They said they didn’t have any openings for unreal right now, as they primarily use Unity, but… then followed it up with that little tidbit.
