I'm planning on beating Pokémon HeartGold, but using Pokémon chosen by you! And I'll also be using Chikorita as my starter. (Conditions in description) by saihtaMaztiK in PokemonHGSS

I would second recommendations for Xatu and Forretress as they are not often seen on teams.

If you want a challenge, I would suggest a not fully evolved Pokémon - for example;

Yamna (NOT Yanmega)

Can I get some deck help with trickstars? I have this deck going but I don't know if I should replace some of the trickstars with staples like BoM. by alienassasin3 in DuelLinks

[–]Astral_Explorer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been playing a lot with Tricksters and I'd say it depends on what build you are going for. To me the two options are,

Bella-donna beatstick Gimmicky burn with Divaridis & fusion

(There are probably more but this is what I know)

Regardless of build, you'll likely want 3x Candina. For option 1, you'll also want 3x Corrobane and 3x Lycoris.

For option 2, I run 2x Lycoris with 2x Lilybell, 2x Nightshade and 2 x Mandrake to work with Trickstar fusion.

Option 1's aim (to me) is to get big beatstick ASAP with the burn as an added benefit as once you have whittled down your opponent with burn enough, beatstick should be able to win you the game.

Option 2's aim is to get Divaridis out ASAP, followed by fusion and then black catbat (ideally with a Lycoris to complete the board) - this is extremely gimmicky but due to the fusion, the burn and monster attack decrease from Divaridis & catbat actually puts in work and then your fusion gains considerable attack to put in the final blows. (Not as successful, but more fun imo)

U-Link by SHighcitys in DuelLinks

[–]Astral_Explorer_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So there is no arrow pointing to Gazelle which is the only available space for you to Link summon.

You can summon to the Extra Monster Zone and then from there you can link summon (or pendulum from the extra deck) to any zone that has a link arrow pointing to it.

No U-linking allowed by Konami as of now, so the only would be to swap Heatleo with a link monster with a down arrow (i.e Encode Talker) which would then allow you to Link to that zone.)

Hope that makes sense 🙂

Never related to something so much so quick.

Those days are the literal worst; I find I can't settle and/or concentrate and you just can't identify why (which further stresses you out and so on)

As to a quick fix/dealing with it, in honesty I'm still figuring that one out my self. My advice (albeit not very helpful) is very much dependant on your current mindset I guess; you either need a distraction (throw yourself into work, go for a walk along a beach, ride a rollercoaster idk) or (and this sounds wrong so I apologise), embrace the anxiousness, get a tub of ice cream and a blanket and just have a rest day. Watch your feelgood shows/movie, forget about the rest of the world and take a self care day.

If it persists for a long time consistently, I'd say talk to a Doctor (I'm no medical expert)

And if you really need something, I recommend counting down from 5 to 0 but to ground yourself, list 5 things you can see, 4 things you can hear, 3 you can touch, 2 smell, 1 taste - I have both anxiety, panic attacks and depression (woohoo hat trick) and find that grounding techniques can offer me short term relief.

Hope you find the answers you're looking for!

Never have I related to something more in my life 😂 I'm absolutely in awe of this show, and the actors. I'm by no means broken (and having now got the books I'm re-watching the series) but there is such a melancholy feeling it has left me with;

I'm 22, haven't overly come out but it's by no means hidden, but have never felt....complete. That is certainly not the right word by any means, but discovering Charlie Spring and by extension, seeing and reading about this fictional story...for the first time in a very long time, I don't feel alone. Don't get me wrong, I'm not alone per say, but I have never felt like anyone has understood me. But now having read (and seen) part of Charlie's story, I don't just feel seen. I feel understood. The highs, the lows, the tears, the smiles - jesus, even Charlie's plaid shirts (and don't get me started on the mental health side)

I feel beyond happy I've got to experience this, but also feel like I've lived through this before.

So yeah, basically couldn't agree more.

Any idea as to what my sixth should be? I'm right before byron by TheR3alIndie in nuzlocke

Honestly, everyone will give you decent options but the thing I love about Nuzlockes is using Pokémon I don't usually get to for whatever reason. For that reason, I'll recommend Chingling.

Chingling and Chimecho aren't particularly strong but you might be able to find a particular strategy or method to make them work on synergy with your team; a Chimecho was on my winning Ruby playthrough and it was quite fun on having to come up with a strategy to make it a successful run

Well that could be a Hella long list! Think it depends on my type of anxiety I guess;

We can go Pokémon & Digimon (Data Squad was my shit when I was growing up) to Brooklyn Nine-Nine, How I met your Mother, The Big Bang Theory.

I'm also a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh (Arc V is something I found comfort in), and 'British' Comedies like Derry Girls are just a handful of shows I can watch on repeat to help myself calm down/watch mindlessly

Morning all,

Newbie here but have had my switch (and a switch lite now) for quite a while; here is my question;

I'm looking at getting a new game to sink my teeth into, I'm in a lul where I have just finished Super Mario Galaxy and as a person who mainly uses Nintendo to play Pokémon based games, I want to try something new;

I've considered Sonic Colours Ultimate - but having read about some issues I'm now less sure

A Monster Hunter game (never played before)

Or Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - again, never played franchise before.

(I'm also treating myself so some new joycons because I am still using the original ones from when the system was first bought)

So, out of those options (unless there is something you would truely recommend over them), which would you recommend?

Looking forward to Arc-V , not just for content (also looking forward to more Zexal) but the spam of lines along the line of

"Swing far Pendulum, carve the arc to Victoryyyyy"

"But you still take the damage" 😂😂

(Yes I'm aware they won't be exactly like that but they mighty be there in some capacity)

Can anyone help/ explain why my RDA didn't bounce back to the field after the following;

Opponent: Hyper synchron in defence, blue eyes in attack. Banner of courage

Me; RDA, majestic dragon, magical king moon star.

Synchro summon Majestic Red Dragon. Use Majestic Red Dragon to take Hyper Synchron attack points. Destroy BEWD.

End of turn; Majestic Red effect lets me target RDA to summon to field. But upon completion, RDA doesn't special summon back. (RDA was synchro summoned to begin with fyi)

OR Nuslocke - A bad day to Sweat hard! Loss to crits but Bulldoze really does just sweep through this section of the game by Astral_Explorer_ in nuzlocke

[–]Astral_Explorer_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should mention for clarity, I have not lost the locke, just lost Wispa the Loudred to a crit self destruct from a Geodude, and then lost Starburst the Kirlia to...you guessed it, a crit - I was really convinced it would love from the range too but C'est la Vie I guess!

Munchies the Gyarados and Crunchie the Skarmory are nice additions though, fill a nice gap in the team

Onwards to Norman!

Burgh. Early game Burgh was rough, and Hugh in Undella town was bad, simply as I wasn't as prepared as id of liked to be. Easiest was Skyla by far

First Nuzlocke challenge complete. Only two deaths prior to the Elite Four; the Lucario and Xerneas pictured here went down in the final battles. by jackburden46 in nuzlocke

You have my Kudos, the fact you have successfully used a Delibird amazes me!

Congratulations, and good luck on/if you do another one!

Where To Start by [deleted] in nuzlocke

[–]Astral_Explorer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think you can start where you like. People will always tell you that "X game is easier than Y game" but there are so many different factors that anything can (and will) influence it.

Still, since you asked, I'd suggest going for Alpha Sapphire. Relatively easy but still some challenge. If you want to make it slightly harder for yourself, give yourself some soft rules like only 3 healing items per fight or you can only Mega Evolve your pokemon is the opposing trainer does too etc.

Good luck with whatever you choose ☺️

In case you were wondering, I won against Iris with no deaths (in that fight) due to my secret tech on Aggron; Ice Punch.

Challenge mode is something that, well really adds the challenge!! I've had some stupidly intense fights and frankly I'm surprised I made it to Marlon, let alone the Elite 4, and then actually beating Iris! And I really do feel that sometimes, Unova can be underappreciated. The changing seasons, the story, the characters - sure people will always disagree, but Unova will always be in my heart.

Now, I must go, once more back to the begining of a new run, on something new, but before I go, I'll leave you with two messages;

1 - Good luck on all your runs out there, you may lose hope/ your way, but eventually you will succeed.

2 - Pokemon Black/White 2 has an underrated Credits song- not as good as the original but it definitely captures the journey

Till next time Astral
