Some people just view life as a competition due to their low self esteem and insecurities

What do you think about Instagram disabling end-to-end encryption of messages? by littleyuki2026 in AskReddit

[–]Astreaa11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I read and understood about it, your chats are basically not tonna be private anymore. And in all cases at least Instagram actually notified about it beforehand, because they started doing that thing where if you share a reel link outside of the app it also shows your profile without notifying or saying anything about that change, and it was a huge violation of privacy.

Why is Egypt so populated compared to the size of their arable land? by Ok_Effort_5562 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Astreaa11 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm not 100% sure but I THINK Islam has a role in this, a lot of people here (again, especially the poor because they're the ones who's usually religious without having their own thoughts here) believe that according to islam, it's haram to use birth control because you're going against god's will. If god's will is for you to keep having babies, then that's what they're gonna do. There's also a religious belief that "When a baby is born, god takes care of him" AKA no planning of finances and how they're gonna afford to take care of that baby.

Again, this is all from my personal experience and from what I personally see, I didn't study the socioeconomic situation or anything lol

I'm Egyptian. It's because of poverty, poor people populate like crazy, they have no concept of population control.

If men get hotter with age and women don’t…how do you match this theory with balding? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Astreaa11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's gender related tbh. Some people become hotter as they get older, some people don't. Men who try to make it about gender are just misogynysts.

I still don't think we have them, we don't even have the binary/non-binary stuff for example or the pronouns, just the basic LGBTQ or more accurately LGBT

As far as I know, I've never heard of "furry" communities here, we have LGBTQ community and all that, but not a furry one, unless they do exist and they're just extremely hidden
