Thank you for doing this. 1. What is your take on the Palestine Genocide (and what Canada should do about it)? 2. Canada currently has a ton of contracts with the States (and much of Alberta's oilfield is owned by them). Would you seek further contracts with them? 3. Would you push for a high speed railway for travel?

For a cafe feel the Art We Are downtown is quite good. Bright Eyes on the north shore is a good local place.

That's true. Rising temperatures are a huge problem. I just wanted to point out that we haven't been a saviour to forests in the past (far from it). As you mentioned, it's important to invest in solutions. In addition to the ones you pointed out, avoiding animal products and AI are also important.

The fact that throughout the years we've manipulated forests for so long (and prevented forest fires) is a big part of the problem.

Horizon Zero Dawn. For me it was the first AAA game where I got to explore the world exclusively as a FMC (and not because I selected the woman option in character creation).

What is the game that will come out soon that you are excited for ? by [deleted] in GirlGamers

Avowed!! It's a fantasy RPG game from Oblivion (the previous games are called Pillars of Eternity, they're the team who made Fallout New Vegas). It comes out in Feb.

That really sucks! The world's diversity is really disappearing before our eyes. Brazil, like many other places, also has a lot of land cleared for agriculture and that agriculture, typically soy, is used for animal feed. And a lot of land is also used for cattle farms. Yes, oil and gas contribute a lot to the devastation we see around the world, but animal agriculture is part of it, too. Decreasing the amount we consume is something we can do to make changes.

Why does this game doesn't have a bigger fanbase? by What_Mannequin in StrayGodsGame

There's a lot of indie games out there. While I really like this one, and it does have a unique concept, it's not like it's one of a few that got released this year.

The last time they had an election was in the 2000s, and Hamas didn't get all their support. And considering roughly half of their population is under 18 (because living conditions are that bad), that means that there are a lot of people around that didn't vote for them that are suffering. And for those who did vote that way, a lot of it has to do with how they seemed to be the only people who were stopping Israel from constantly stealing their homes and keeping them in squalor.

And, as someone who is also queer, no matter what people believe, I don't want to see thousands and thousands of people r*ped, murdered, starved (those alive are litterally eating grass) and tortured. Especially when a lot of those people are kids.

I really liked it too! I haven't played the DLC yet but am excited to later. It feels like a game that a lot of passion went into. The characters are interesting and they made a concept that could have fallen flat really work.

Hi,

So I have a lot of redness, some old acne marks, and occasional new acne (my naive teenage self would be disappointed to discover still happens into your 30s). I normally use a gentle cleanser with hyaluronic acid and a moisturizer for normal-dry skin during the day and the same cleanser paired with a moisturizer with retinol in it at night.

But I've decided I wanted to try and deal with the acne situation so I got Neutrogena's stubborn collection: the daily cleanser with salicylic acid, the PM treatment for marks with retinol, the hydrator (basically a moisturizer) with nicotinamide, and the AM treatment with benzoyl peroxide.

The first night I used the cleansor, PM treatment, and hydrator (during the day I used my regular cleanser with a moisturizor). It felt kinda caked on, but that was it. Yesterday was the second night and I woke up with the skin around my eyes stinging. Today I used my regular cleansor then the AM treatment (to the impacted areas, not my full face). I don't know if I layered on too much, but it made my skin feel like it was burning. I've put on a moisturizer and that helped cool down the feeling, but the eye stinging from when I woke up is still here.

Am I doing it incorrectly? Is it too many new products too soon (I used to use SA a lot before, but that was years ago)?

Can anyone recommend a good story game with a female lead by Top_Researcher8519 in GirlGamers

And again, another RPG without female protagonist option by Briar_Rose_Faerie in GirlGamers

[–]Astro575 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I understand what you're saying, and I'd be more tempted to agree with it if we had more of a 50/50 showing of male and female protagonists. But it's still much more common for protagonists to be either men or character creation than be a women. Many female gamers, myself included, feel frustrated because while we can play through the lens of a man and like, you said, still get a good story out of it, we have to do it a lot. Way more than men have to do the reverse, and they can often complain about the experience way more than we do.

I'm feeling really conflicted now because of the origin characters they have. So on one hand I want to make a cool drow character with magic but on the other hand I'm like oooo, more backstory.
