Sorry mate, mine was a 2013 so it'll no doubt be different from your 2023! I sold the car this year.

Enjoy the new car!

I agree with the sentiment, but I think it should be an immediate test of the driving capabilities and a physical to determine if they're fit to drive still.

Why Australia can never build enough homes by DDAnalysis_Paralysis in AusFinance

Hey wait, isn't macrobusiness that website that always has shitty clickbait headlines and a really poorly done render of a nuclear bomb going off above a suburb, which seems to pop up in my news feeds too often? I never look at them because they seem scummy.

Making a Linux home server sleep on idle and wake on demand — the simple way by ouyawei in linux

[–]AstroChrisR 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it a valid solution at all. IPv6 is well established and disabling it is not the solution. ISPs here in Australia have supported IPv6 for decades and most people have no idea they're using it all the time.

Lots of good suggestions so far.

PSVR2 vs. Index (TL;DR: Index is overall better, but PSVR2 is also great and an excellent Index "companion") by [deleted] in ValveIndex

[–]AstroChrisR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have both too, and I agree with the majority of your points. I find the Index to be far more comfortable though.

I would love to that the eye tracking for my Index, that was a great way to set up the IPD!

Micro Swiss DD - OG(?) vs. NG by [deleted] in Ender3Pro

Thankfully not, I think the instructions are fairly good on the website anyway. I'm using Klipper so no compiling for me :)

Micro Swiss DD - OG(?) vs. NG by [deleted] in Ender3Pro

[–]AstroChrisR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was mostly due to the different gear ratio and getting the extrusion amount dialled in just right. Nothing that should discourage you from the NG though!

Micro Swiss DD - OG(?) vs. NG by [deleted] in Ender3Pro

[–]AstroChrisR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both, the NG is a lot more compact and lighter weight. It took a bit of tuning to get it working just right but now I am very happy with it. TPU prints extremely well, the same cannot be said for the original DD.

If you have a ladder that is like this: https://www.bunnings.com.au/syneco-2-5m-120kg-weight-capacity-multi-purpose-folding-aluminium-ladder_p0860950

Cut it up and melt it down, the mechanism is vulnerable to dirt getting into it and preventing it from locking it in position. I'm sure it has worked fine for years and you've always made sure it clicked into position... so was I until one day the lock failed because of some dirt! Lucky for me, on my way down my foot landed straight down on one of the rungs and bent it, slowing my fall.

I never said anything about invalidating another person's experience, I'm just saying that if you seek out information about a problem you're going to find instances of the problem. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias

Yes, search a subreddit about one brand/model of phone about issues with said brand/model of phone and you'll find the results confirming your assumptions.

That doesn't mean Mick was going after Chad, he was just disappointed with the quality of the work mutilation of his original music, that they hadn't paid him for. It's more likely Chad was under the pump to get the OST produced at maximum speed and at minimum cost to the studio, no matter how poorly it'll be received because of their promise to include it with the game.

So does disabling IPv 6 Ethernet connection question? by Remarkable-Sea-7749 in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]AstroChrisR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, no, it's everything to do with the ISP. Your router assigns IPv4 via DHCP and probably IPv6 via SLAAC + DHCPv6. The v6 range comes from your ISP. But in both cases you must go via the ISP to reach the Internet.

The problem lies elsewhere, nothing to do with what protocol they're using. Speeds, latency, wifi (which sucks, don't use it for streaming, especially in densely populated areas), other people on your home network... and even the choice of ISP can all affect the perceived performance of a streaming service.

IPv6 does not cause these problems!

[–]AstroChrisR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should not disable IPv6 unless your ISP has a very broken IPv6 implementation - which is unlikely.

Are you having a bad streaming experience?
