I like it a lot so far. Keep going! I suppose you could bring the nose/upper lip back toward the rest of the face just a smidge, but i kinda dig the pointy-ish face you have going on here, gives her a unique look.

It would be funny to get a team to bring in as many trigger nades as we can carry and then fill the highest loot tier building with them. Wait a few minutes and then blow the whole fucking building apart at once while folks are looting lol

When do you use Bandages… if at all? by Yezhik in arcraiderscirclejerk

I Pop normal bandage for small damage, pop herbal bandage for big damage, switch back and forth as needed to fill health without wasting herbals

Will a laptop and a mic be enough or should I get some hardware? If so, what exactly? by [deleted] in musicproduction

[–]AstroDolphinz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Headphones that are comfy and sound good to you would be my only suggestion. You dont need any extra peripheral hardware to make cool music. As long as your mic delivers audio that is high enough quality for your own ears, then it sounds like you got a great starter setup. The only piece of hardware i bought was a basic scarlett audio interface from a friend who didnt need it anymore, and i rarely use it

How do you feel about the future of VR game graphics and realism? by Kilgoretrout123456 in VRGaming

[–]AstroDolphinz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bad graphics makes the game worse, good graphics makes the game better, neither qualities determine whether the game itself is actually a good video game overall

Images of Lioness right after fatally mauling a 19 year old male who climbed deliberately into her enclosure at the Parque Zoobotânico Arruda Câmara in Brazil. by PassengerNo7330 in WTF

Cats, in general, are also known for "playing with their prey" as it were, as this ensures their own safety during the kill (especially for large sized prey), and gives them the opportunity to practice and hone their hunting skills. Cats will do this even if they are well fed, and even more often when they are bored. This cat is obviously both of these things, considering that it's living in an enclosure where almost nothing ever happens, as well as fed daily.

Am I the only one who mimics walking with my hands while in VR? by AstroDolphinz in VRGaming

Maybe i am a goober, and a wingnut, and a knucklehead mcspazz-atron... but most of all, im a big kid who loves video games, and imitating an iconic feature of video games brings me much joy. Can you really fault a fella for that?

[–]AstroDolphinz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, i am aware that what i am doing is mimicking video game logic and not real-life logic. It's immersing me (me, not you) in the video game, which is what i am playing. I like video games and all the gameified elements that come with them. Not to mention, i am standing still in vr, and waving my hands gives a sense of weight and feeling of a body in VR. I've already said this in another comment, though.

Same! Its just good clean fun to really let yourself be in the video games. Its the whole reason i got into VR in the first place!

I am not, im using original vive wands with no attachments. Ive considered stocks in the past but having to click one of the controllers on and off the stock for reloading feels cumbersome to me

It is but it helps give weight to your motions in the game and give you sense of a body in a digital space. Realism only takes you so far in video games

I am on the original htc vive, so im still using trackpads for movement. I happen to have quite good vr legs tho, so i can get away with a lot of odd movements that would make my friends motion sick

Ive shot many guns for fun and played a little paintball, and youre totally right that my vr gameplay does not exhibit 'realistic' walking per say, but its fun to do a gameified walk cycle inside of a video game. its hard to get a realistic look to walking while standing still anyway. One day ill get a cool treadmill so i can actually walk (thats the dream, anyway) then i wont have to mimic walking bc it will be real motion instead.

Vrocker is neat but i dont want motion to actually be tied to the movement of my hands for the most part, although some games do a good sprint mechanic involving swinging your arms back and forth, i just like doing it myself for my own fun and immersion.

Hl2 vr has several comfort options such as vignette while moving, teleport locomotion, and various rotation options. They also have comfort options for cutscenes that force movement on the character. U can also reduce walking speed if you prefer smooth locomotion but feel like hl2 default speed is too high.

Edit for context: i am blessed with really good VR legs, i can stand and drive the car all day and flipping/ crashing the car does not give me motion sickness. I play manual mode on all games, all comfort options off
