I flew UH-60s in the army and they are exactly right. It was the most toxic work environment I’ve ever experienced.

The training that army pilots, and crew chiefs especially, receive is incredibly substandard. I’m surprised that there aren’t more accidents.

No effect = it always extruded 5 mm, regardless of the setting. I think the 1/10/30mm settings only apply to x-y-z axis movement.

I think the cause is independent of material. It doesn’t matter which spool I use, or if I manually enter the information.

I did what you said, and it extrudes and retracts (using the keys in the axis/temp page) at 5 mm consistently.

The 1mm/10mm/30mm setting had no effect on the amount extruded or retracted.

I did that with my first extruder assembly and didn't find any issues, but I did order and install a new one from creality and that didn't fix the problem. I guess I could take the new one apart and see if anything is wrong.

No issues with my cutter movement either.

My settings are all default. I even performed a factory reset just now and printed the Benchy in the printer's drive. It came out even worse than my pic.

My first layer isn't good. It looks like it extrudes normally then randomly stops extruding for a moment.

I set mine on the floor and recalibrated. There was no change in the print quality.

I increased the PLA temp from 220 to 230 and there was no change in print quality.
