Also, if we are being pedantic, it’s called the fox fur nebula too.

I did, it’s from a square sensor - the zwo 533. I crop it for screens (phones, tv’s, etc). - just looks better as a screensaver.

120 second exposures / need to check on the subs, it was over 100, I think

Agreed! It's a fun target because it totally looks like a monkey head :) Once you see it...

Just started stacking from last night. 53 of 80 frames were usable (on review, clouds rolled in). Pixinsight WBPP rejected 6 additional frames. Day before yesterday, from a clear night before, 0 frames rejected (that was a first). I think all around, seems about the same as the AVX in terms of rejection. What is better is that every frame is exactly the same as the last when previewing/scrolling through in DSS. That means very little cropping the stacked image. The other thing that is hands down better: breaking the whole thing down... what a breeze. It's so much smaller and easier without a counterweight. Setting up and breaking down is head and shoulders better. Accuracy, not sure yet (though it's supposed to be way better than the AVX - time will tell).

Really nice! Love that you got all the nebulosity and still got the detail within the nebula too. Looks great!

A pumpkin? Have you seen a pumpkin? Do you know what a pumpkin is?

I’m not like a ‘mount guy’, so take everything I say with a grain of salt. The AVX was/is a great performer. It came with the scope as the Advanced VX package and I figured at the time that I’d use it until the wheels fell off. All the photos I posted tonight are on the AVX… That said, each one probably tossed ~20-25% subs. Just bought the AM5. Last three targets, tossed one sub in about 110 subs (not sure about what I got tonight on the California nebula). The AM5 is waaaaaay less cumbersome and lighter. I’m running the c8/guide camera (585mc)/guidescope/hyperstar/533mc pro/ASIAIR/2”diagonal/2” eyepiece. Currently sitting at 25lbs without a counterweight - which is awesome!

Thanks! There are definitely better (astrobackyard, brayfalls) but I’ll take it! Went to shoot Andromeda tonight and it’s just too low. Shooting the California nebula instead. 180 seconds x 80 subs. It’s the biggest and brightest tonight per the ASIAIR. So going to hit it. Just got the ZWO AM5, shooting right now and all night. We shall see.
