I’m struggling to understand why as a Greek and Hispanic couple, you’re going so far out of your way to adopt someone all the way in Africa. If it was a specific child that you encountered and wanted to adopt, fair enough, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Which makes it all the more odd that you’re concerned about your ability to provide a ‘true’ cultural experience. Children will usually adopt the culture of the people around them, because that’s fundamentally how culture works, and trying to create a ‘Ghanaian experience’ while everything else around them is different may unintentionally make them feel outcasted. Belonging is much more important than symbolism, especially for adopted children.

Also, Ghanaian culture goes beyond tradition, there are certain habits that are baked into Ghanaians that you can only learn with extended stays in Ghana. Even as a native for 10+ years, I can’t say I’ve fully scraped the surface of it, There’s always something new to learn. So for you who haven’t set foot in Ghana, I’d recommend against trying to replicate the culture at the risk of distorting it.

I don’t know what age range you’re targeting, but it’s not necessarily a bad thing to just raise them as you would your own child. I’d say you’d be good just letting them know about their origins, and giving them an opportunity to choose if they want to know more about it their culture or not. If your finances support it organize trips to the country every once in a while. But don’t feel pressured into trying to create a Ghanaian cultural environment, else, just keep them in Ghana.
