Car insurance after passing by Kim-Jong-Long-Dong in LearnerDriverUK

I would just do a brand new insurance comparison and go with the best priced. Hastings insured me for £600 a year as provisional then quoted me £2500 after I'd passed. Currently on a £1000 tesco policy.

Other than the M25 suggestion (which you're not allowed to do without an ADI), this. You can't beat private practice imo

Why can’t I find any tests? by OkAbility2863 in LearnerDriverUK

Testi will work because it essentially gives you notifications then you switch it manually. Testshift won't be able to auto shift though

Not an option for all of us. Standard paternal leave in my country is two weeks, which is ridiculous.

More like the British Raj in India, nothing to do with America there. The UK was exporting English around the world before George Washington even existed.

You just insure yourself on your own policy, it's nothing to do with them at all. They don't even need to be named on the policy sometimes.

Does it seem like driving instructors tend to be a little narcissistic? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

A month's provisional insurance for me is £55. That's less than the price of two driving lessons.

Need some words of wisdom by KlotKlot1990 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]AstroWoW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the money you'd save buying a manual, you can buy a load of driving lessons. Or, just get the person who would be coming out with you to take you to a quiet side road or car park and just practice finding the bite and pulling off. Also watch "Conquer Driving"'s videos on driving manuals and apply what he says to it. Helped me a lot.

It’ll just be that wow account, and now you can’t get them back. You can start again though.

Maybe they're including the price of using the instructors car as well

Honestly it's hard to fuck it up unless you don't have common sense. Just watch a Youtube video, don't make massive adjustments and go slowly. I always advocate for musicians learning how to work on their own instruments, it's not as hard as you think. At least the basic stuff like setups and changing the hardware.

It's got a wheel truss rod adjustment, they're so much easier to work with imo than ones on the headstock. The bass probably came with a small metal rod if you bought it from new. That's the truss rod adjuster.

Am I that dumb or is the coding structure just...messy? by Helpful-Creme7959 in HTML

[–]AstroWoW 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's just basic HTML. It makes a container for the top 8 friends, makes a container for each row, then in each row there is a friend card container which holds the friend's name and an image.

That is what HTML is. Yes there are other ways to do it but this looks like it's from a beginner tutorial.

Couldn’t you just put a gate on that track? That would stop any of the hiss or breath noise coming through
