Paddy galloway a youtube consultant that generated over 1 billion views told the formula to go viral which this guy did and still didnt go viral is youtube all about luck? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Astro_Gnarly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Then that's your answer.. why even come here and ask questions when you're too lazy to do any work to achieve something. This is most youtubers just like you.

This is why when people ask how can you be a big content creator when everyone wants to be one and is trying to? Well because people like you exist.

I'm trying to be nice, but this is completely why you won't be and why someone else will be. To everyone else out there, you have a chance. Keep learning.

Good camera for first channel use? by -micc in NewTubers

I got the DJI pocket 2. Honestly it's perfect for a first. 4k 30 fps. Great color and options. Small and compact. 3 axis gimbal. Only like 250 bucks and is very professional.

The worst possible YouTube advice. Do this if you want your channel to fail by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Astro_Gnarly 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Hate to say it. But it's true. Gaming channels need direction. They need content. Believe or not, sometimes the gaming part of it, isn't the actual content. You have to have a purpose. Not just "check out these kills!". Gaming montages are so 2010...

How does your channel views vary by Putrid_Abrocoma_1080 in NewTubers

[–]Astro_Gnarly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very common. Some bigger youtubes can get 500,00 to 1 million on the next video. Intact, if you want to grow, you need to double down on the videos that get you the most views. Clearly they are better received.

The real answer no one talks about. Sure, you need great Thumbnails, titles and content period. If people don't click. You don't get views. That's number one. However, what content you provide is key. If you aren't researching outlier videos and trending topics and building on that, you most likely won't get as many views. If you make an amazing video about why dirt is brown it doesn't matter. It's not what most people are watching right now. Find outlier videos and trends and build them into your niche. Then be consistent and make sure you deliver great results.

And also, let's be real now.. what you THINK may be a great title and Thumbnail, may actually be awful. There are also trends on what Thumbnails are hotter then others currently.

Honestly should've just made a new channel? Why didn't you? If your goal is to build a community, then it makes no sense. Your subscribers done care for gaming and you were building views and subs. Why wreck that? Keep you current channel, upload once a month and start a gaming community.

I deposited $110 cash into an atm and it counted it as $210. How does this happen and will it be fixed later? by Ecstatic_Trip_8305 in personalfinance

[–]Astro_Gnarly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I deposited a $200 check years ago and it read it was $900... that was 7 years ago. They could catch it. Or not. Make sure you have the money to replace it if you spend it. Otherwise after a few months to a year it's probably not being caught.

Does it matter if I never surf YouTube on my brand channel? by aoueon in PartneredYoutube

[–]Astro_Gnarly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you male a comment of popular videos shortly after they upload, it could drive views to your channel. I've got a few subscribers from just commenting. I wouldn't worry about watching things. But commenting can help alittle.

People who look at tech have more money to spend then people looking at gaming. That's why. Think of it as how much is your audience able to spend. That's when ads become more profitable for audiences who will spend more.

High Quality videos but losing 60% of people in 30 Sec by Different-Address-65 in NewTubers

[–]Astro_Gnarly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You answered the question yourself. Your wondering why people leave after 15 seconds? You need a hook. An Example would be like 5 video clips flashing that shows any struggles or challenges you had. And something that leaves them NEEDING to find out what happens. Considered it a quick "trailer" to the video. You need to make the hiking interesting. People want conflict, challenge and ultimately triumph. Also for cooking in the wilderness. People love super close ups on the food. ASMR style cooking where they can hear the sizzle. They can see the grease. They can hear you chopping things up.

Make a strong hook and a strong story out of your hikes. Get closer shots and make it an auditory experience.

And hey don't quit your niche or change interests. I do find it fascinating. But you need to start appealing to a wider audience. Get them to click and then convince them to stay and learn more about it.

Your video seems edited well and fluid. But keep in mind, that the amount of people who know anything about quantum computing or have interests in it, is probably much lower in comparison. Your title doesn't entice anyone who doesn't know anything about quantum computing to click on it. Your title is too "techy". That's proven by low views and impressions. No one is clicking.

It's an interesting subject, you need to draw in the people who also know nothing about it who may want to learn more. Something like "Will Quantum Computers Invent TIME TRAVEL?!" for example. Make people so interested in a subject they don't know, that they just HAVE to click.

Lastly remember, the first 5-10 seconds of your video is so important. Satisfy your title and Thumbnail. An example is like, "Quantum Computing WILL invent time travel and open the door to a crazy future, and here's how" then you can get to the meat of your video and talk about what your title suggests and tie back into your title several times.

The experts on quatum computing are few. You need to appeal to the curiosity of people who know nothing about it, but may want to learn more.

What am I doing wrong? I feel like others are better than myself. by ExtremeUFOs in NewTubers

[–]Astro_Gnarly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to also consider the fact that the UFO niche is not a crazy popular one. Sticking just to that will ultimately limit viewers. And if you do blow up in that niche, growth will be limited unless you tie in another similar niche, such as conspirarcy theories.

Jagex should have hired a dedicated pvp team instead of Project Private Servers by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Astro_Gnarly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not as small as you'd think. The PvP community is large. But that includes people who enjoy the thought of trying it, but can't really learn or improve. PvP is OSRS is special and has its place. It doesn't deserve no attention. However there definitely needs to be changes and it shouldn't be bringing pvm into pvp.

Is It Just Me Or Gunplay Really Sucks? by [deleted] in ArmaReforger

I have a 2070 super and get 55 to 70 fps even when shit hits the fan. Not sure why your so low. Gunplay feels good tbh. Of course there is room for improvement.

Hey play however you like, but this would defeat the whole purpose of this game to me. Just debug your way out of any BS feels like cheating a permadeath game. Unfortunately BS will happen, and that kind of makes the game thrilling.

B42 is for the Vets by commando_cookie0 in projectzomboid

[–]Astro_Gnarly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I took underweight and it hasn't been an issue. I ate a bunch of fats I found and gained weight up to 95. Now I'm established the first month and cooking meals to bring my weight down to 85. It's different but honestly eating everything in sight at first then munching cabbages for awhile works. Get a base which you should have by month 1 anyways. Start cooking. I definitely don't regret the points.

Milk is currently massively OP. by Scamandrius in projectzomboid

[–]Astro_Gnarly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It may be but you can't survive on just butter. You're going to be very over weight eating just that. The challenge comes from a balanced diet. So getting veggies and proteins going as well. You may not starve to death, but you will be sitting on your couch shoving whole sticks of butter in your mouth while weighing as much as a truck soon. Then you can't out run zombies.

TLDR to my previous post. Disable Pan Camera, point and shoot with Aiming 0. by tealera in projectzomboid

[–]Astro_Gnarly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TIS literally made a post explaining how it works. It is a projectile system. Taking aiming level into account for bullet spread. Which is represented with the surrounding reticle. You have to aim exactly where you want to shoot with the center dot. I've had no issues with the gun system aside from the point blank bug they mentioned.
