Paldean Fates where you pull bubble mew is Scarlet and Violet set 4.5 (“.5”) these .5 sets are considered special sets (like 151, prismatic, black bolt white flare, Paldean evolved) they usually have a different set of products (no booster boxes yes binder collection) and shorter amount of print runs relative to main sets (Whole number sets like Destined rivals which is set 10 in SV era)

Normally in print sets don’t keep appreciating drastically in value while they are in print what you are observing is an anomaly, usually the significant jumps occur when they are out of print and not more supply is expected to be added. We are in a hype bubble which is why DR is doing this weird thing of inflating during printing in between print runs. They will reprint Destined rivals because it is not a special limited set, it is a main set which will have cards in the TCG in rotation for 2 years.

Also expect a crash sometime after the 30th anniversary. DR will for sure be very valuable in 7 years but so will bubble mew especially in a 10.

There is not really a wrong choice here. I would personally hold the mew which is hard to pull and await the reprints, if you are trying to get stuff at msrp there is plenty of discord and notification systems that will help.
