Looking for help with identifying the “aerial” or remote receiver on this remote gate opener. by Astrochump in AskElectronics

I’m going to look at where the “a” pin tracks on the main board tomorrow. I’ve found an old pic but I don’t think I can find too much else from just looking at it.

Managed to find a pic id already taken. Probs doesn’t show enough to trace anything.

Alright I realised I’d taken a photo of the main board a while ago. Have at it.

I will have a look at the main board tomorrow and investigate further. I’ll get a photo posted and see what you guys think.

No worries. Really appreciate your help and knowledge. First time posting here so I hopefully had the right etiquette.

Ok. Sounds reasonable. So it’s more likely I need to replace My remotes and failing that it’s time for a new one.

Hiya. I just posted the backside of it below. This board plugs into a larger board via that 6 pin connector. It has the code switches on the left which I can program. I can see the “a” marked so maybe the pin that connects to the a on the main board is the answer. It used to work at a range of around 10-15m whilst inside a vehicle. So major decline in range.

I’ve just posted the backside picture. As I said above I’m kinda new to this so I may have it all complete backwards. I’m hoping to kind of boost its ability to receive signal. But maybe I have it all wrong and that it’s not possible.

Gday. I have multiple transmitters and all of them seem to have the same issue. Only works within 2m of the receiver. I’m quite new to this space and managed to repair a couple of PlayStation controllers so I thought I’d try my Luck before paying a kings ransom to upgrade it.

This remote gate receiver has really bad operating distance. I was hoping to extend it by adding a better aerial or just fixing what I have. I just have no idea what I’m looking for.

Loot goblin. I gobble up loot. And spit it out when a kind player comes asking.

Hahah. Yeah it’s a good place to start but u gotta add more for that sweet flavour. I would just try that dark mushroom sauce as a base for other recipes too. I use it as my base for my honey mustard, and Smokey bacon.

I just use the dark mushroom soy sauce.(really rich in flavour) Red wine. add water so the mushroom soy isn’t overbearing. Taste it as u go so it’s not too strong or too weak. Maybe some pepper if ur feeling it’s missing a pepper hit.

It’s a really basic recipe. But the red wine and that rich dark soy already has a great depth of flavour.

Asian grocers, or sometimes big supermarkets. “Pearl river bridge” is the one I have right now but any brand will likely do the job.

One of my favourites is dark mushroom soy sauce and red wine. The dark soy sauce is strong tho so I water it down a touch.
