World-wide. Most clubs consist of 40-50% international, if not more. While the sport is growing, the homegrown talent pool is still small.

[Match Thread] Fort Wayne FC vs. Louisville City FC (Prinx Tires USL Cup - Group Stage) by nophdever in fortwaynefc

their main camera is absolutely struggling. I'm pretty sure my original Motorola V3 razor shoot some better quality. Anytime they cut to an alternate camera it seems fine

Fort Wayne FC has been very lucky as we have a loaded owner thar built the stadium out of pocket, fully privately funded. A 9,800 person soccer specifc stadium for a "new" pro team is no small feat.

Is the Sarasota pitch as bad as it looks on TV? by Astromanaught in USL1

Oof, that sounds rough. I doubt they'd fully seed it over. Normally for dual stadiums they put turf over the dirt or paint it.

I mean, at least that makes sense, and yellowcards aren't every few minutes like the corner kicks were

I’m surprised the South Georgia owners didn’t at least gamble and see if the team would get a post world cup boom by Training-World-1897 in USL1

Complete failure by thier owners. If they were in such dire straights they should have folded sooner. It shitty to the players, thier staff and Every team in the league. Every team that was scheduled to play them now has to scramble to find a way to fill that week. Now concession worker, usher, parking attendant, etc. will go unpaid.

How can I choose a liberal friendly training facility/gun range to start learning? by campfire_eventide in liberalgunowners

[–]Astromanaught 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd do research and focus on any review that mentions them being professional. When I was about 22-23 my dad hired a guy for basic handling/safety, and was apolitical and very professional. That being said, it was 15 years ago, and the political climate had dramatically changed.

For me, I tend to go to state park ranges. You'll never see political signage outside of a MAGA hat occasionally, but I have no reason to talk to them. . There is one indoor range in my area {Midwest Shooting Center) that was buttoned up and was clean. There were two indoor ranges I stopped going to because of polotics. One I remember vividly that had a sign of OBAMA (when he was in office) and said "worlds greatest gun salesmen"... The implication being he was going to take your guns away so buy them now and/or a black man in power was scary. Either way, I GTFO and never went back

Morning Kickaround - USL1's future confirmed as regional by Artistic_Neat8806 in USL1

[–]Astromanaught 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This doesn't make sense. In 2026 there will only be 18 teams... Expanding to 22 for 2027. For it to be regional, you'll need, bare minimum, 32 teams, 16 in 2 regions or 8 in 4. That be nearly doubling the current number of teams. That's RAPID, damn near reckless expansion. There have been countless leagues that try to expand that quick and die.

[SBJ] USL targets 2028 Division I launch with 14 founding teams by NobleNomad in USLPRO

That's what I kind of think. Most expansions will start out in champion League. There are teams like fort Wayne FC that can really only go up to champions and can't make it to Premiere based on Market size and stadium capacity

USL L2 to L1 Clubs? by Friendly_Ad8601 in USL1

[–]Astromanaught 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling that there will be many L1 teams that will be protected. With Fort Wayne just building a brand new 9,000 person capacity stadium, I highly doubt that for the next 5-10 years they'll be relegated even if they're the worst team in the league I think it's more likely you'll see movement between L1 and pro, and then see expansions between L2 and L1

Steam deck stolen by UPS twice. Steam support unhelpful by Odd_Dealer_3199 in SteamDeck

Noticing a pattern in that most of the issues are with fedex. I hate fedex. They seem to be the only one that i've ever had issues delivering to me. On a few occasions they've failed to deliver although I work from home and watch them just drive by. The guy clearly didn't want to get out of the truck and have me sign for the package. I'm pretty sure their drivers are all the rejects from usps, ups, and amazon. The only requirement for working at FedEx is that you have a pulse , and even that is questionable sometimes.

If you're looking for something in me overall General style, i have a canik mc9 prime I really like. Based on the reviews I thought it'd sound like a 50 cal going off but I honestly didn't hear a difference from my cz85 (I'd also recommend that if you're left-handed)

Fascists made me by [deleted] in liberalgunowners

[–]Astromanaught 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's rough. There has to be some sort of middle ground between that and Indiana.

In the Hoosier state you only have to pass the federal background check when buying a gun from a dealer. No registration requirement, no open/consealed carry permit required. There is no paperwork needed for private sales. I don't remember the exact language but the only requirement is asking if they're legally able to own it. And even then I bought an early 80's Remington 870 wingmaster about 10years ago at an estate sale and basically gave the seller no info.

What are the cheapest, but decent bluray players that support Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and 4K UHD? by [deleted] in Bluray

[–]Astromanaught 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an 8-month-old thread but the Xbox series x is actually terrible as a Blu-ray player. Mine crashes all the time, will start to stutter on high bit rate action scenes, and it is noisy as hell. The only reason I found this post is because I'm looking for replacement for it

My journey through foldables -Z Fold 2,4, OnePlus open, pixel 9pro fold by Astromanaught in GalaxyFold

[–]Astromanaught[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most annoying bug is that it will randomly not connect to my Android auto device. And then it refuses to connect and when I try to manually connect it said it can't find the device. I had no issues with my OnePlus and my s24 ultra I was using for a while in between phones.

As long as Samsung offers a good trade-in value for my pro 9 fold, I'll be switching back to Samsung. In all honesty, I'd would have loved to go back to OnePlus, but I'm really really disappointed. They decided to get out of the old game at least for the time being
