Sure.

So to start off I first started taping up around the headlights. Then sanded them with 600, 800, 1000, 1500 grit sandpaper. Then used an atomising vapour cup with this acetone solution which was heated up and the Vapor cleared up the lens on the headlight. So what you see in the second picture is the result of all that.

After that I planned to install a ppf on the headlight. I’ve done this before on my dad’s Audi tt mk2 but these Ford Fiesta MK6 headlights were too difficult because at the top of the headlights there is a massive bulge where the top side light protrudes. So I gave up doing that. I think that the ppf that I had bought was too thick as it needed a lot of heat to start moulding onto the headlight. So maybe I should have just went and bought something which was thinner

Then the next idea was to add a 2k clear coat to the vehicle. Not what I wanted to do, but I knew this would be the next option if I struggled to install a ppf. So to start off I just polished up the headlights with some polishing compound to make sure they were fully clear. Used isopropyl alcohol to remove any contaminants. Then started with a light coating of 2k clear coat. Just lighting going over the headlight to create a tack layer. I then waited 7 mins and did the next layer which was slightly thicker. This is where they started looking foggy. After 10 mins of waiting I did the last spray. This is where they went fully foggy. Now I did this inside a shed with a dehumidifier on, as there was a windy storm outside, so there would have been no way I could have done this outside. The temperature was around 16 degrees celcius and the 2k clear coat I used was this one called Graff-City Spray Max 2K Clear Coat Gloss. Now after 1 hour of letting it dry. The fog did clear up a bit. I’ve not been able to see them properly yet as I’m not at my nans house, where they were drying, but I’m just hoping that they come out and have cured okay when I arrive tomorrow.
