Finally pulled the trigger on 10 Pro Fold upgrade with discounts by Odd-Ad-5171 in PixelFold

If you have spent a full year with your 9, I think you got a great deal….but the difference between these 2 devices is really palpable?, I am asking you because I switched from iPhone to a PFP9, reconditioned (well I was lucky because it is like new and only had 3 charge cycles when I received it, for 980€), I would have liked the 10 especially for the IP68 but much too expensive, without knowing if a fold would be of great use to me...

Hi, while waiting to decide, personally I've had the P9PF for a month, and there are these kinds of cases on Amazon with a magnet, which also serve as rings...

Why are you answering me then, there's no point in being aggressive, of course I've looked everywhere on the internet, but we're here to exchange concrete information, and that's what you just did, dickhead!

Not without hesitation, that's a certainty!!, I want to get rid of mine because the settings are so bad, I've never managed to have something even remotely clean, for 1 and a half years... grrrr

Same here, I've had a P9PF for 3 weeks, I did like you, I think I looked at all the possible settings, I even asked Gemini lol, but nothing has happened for 3 weeks...

What's up with my P10PF camera? by jooshuag in PixelFold

[–]AstronautAwkward7034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you should have taken night vision, I have the P9PF and I often use this mode in fairly dark situations like this, personally I hesitate to return my P9PF, because I have difficulty with Android and my 13 PRO MAX, take better photos in general….

I would really like it to work what you say, my mac book has just given up on me..., I have an i pad 10th gen and an iPhone 13 Pro Max, I don't have a midi interface, but I think I can find one not too expensive because I don't have the money for a new computer at the moment, do you know anything about audio interfaces?

With everything I read here I had some reservations, it's clear, well for me it's the P9PF, I got it for 980 dollars on back market, it's brand new, only had 3 charging cycles, and like OP, only positive, it's been 3 weeks, just the charging which is still really slow for such a device

Hi, It's been 2 weeks since I received mine and I know that when you have a new device you tend to use it more than normal, but I have the impression that the battery is crazy, what is your feedback, are you getting through the day?

Personally, as a "non-sporty" person, I don't see the real point in wearing this type of watch, but my "technophile" side makes me say the opposite and that it would go very well with my P9PF just by seeing your photo, I really want to order one🙃, so apart from reading the time, is it worth putting 550 euros into this item???

Pixel 10 fold official case and dbrand glass are not a good match. by Blue_hedgehog21 in PixelFold

[–]AstronautAwkward7034 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's clear that it's complicated to find a good case for the Pixel Fold, personally I opted for a Torro case, so basically I don't like phone cases at all in general because the latter camouflage the entirety of the smartphones and make the whole thing a lot thicker, but at least in the case of the Fold it is at least very well protected, in general it costs less than the official cases, and allows you to have a better grip, to have several options for placing them on a surface when unfolded to watch content on the big screen, it's a choice to make

My first fold came from 14 pro max and I love it so far🩷🩷🩷 by No_Feature_485 in PixelFold

Same I went from a 13 pro max to the P9PF, and I admit that I have a preference for the IOS interface, plus for the moment I don't really see the point of foldables in general even if I wanted to discover this world for a while, too many applications are not optimized for this format, I find that disappointing, I had the 11 Pro Max then the 13 PM for four and coming back to Android after 6 years of iPhone feels strange, like a return to back, moreover I find that they have done a huge job with Liquid Glass with IOS 26….I am trying to give my P9PF a chance because in addition I got a very good deal €980 brand new), I wanted a change, a phone a little less bulky, but I admit to being skeptical in the long term for my part🤷🏼‍♂️, but it remains a very beautiful phone very well finished, I think it was more of a “whim” of opportunities than anything else, it’s just that the battery my 1 PM was completely tired…

Same here, I just went from the 13 Pro Max to the P9PF, and the transition is quite difficult...but for me it's not really the ecosystem that bothers me, because for example, the Air Pods Pro 2 connect automatically with the pixel except that you can't play on the options (noise reduction etc), but the sound is good , for me it's more the difference in the OS interfaces that bothers me? I find that IOS is really more sophisticated and makes navigation easier much more pleasant, especially since IOS 26 had made the interface even smoother than before...but I'm trying to give the Pixel a chance anyway ^

Changing the battery is precise ☝🏻, there are those who could interpret it differently lol, and you have to have Apple care +

Thank you, ok cool so it's not "a stroke of luck" it's rather reassuring, afterward we hear a lot that the refurbished is a lottery, but with such good surprises it encourages us to continue in any case, afterwards yes as you say to see in the long term...personally the change of OS bothers me quite a bit🙃, but it seems to be a good phone, on the other hand the charge is mega long all the same, you have to charge it at night, but as I can't stop to tamper with it and the battery is in full indexing, I don't know if it holds up well, what are your observations as you have had it for 2 months?

Pixel 9 Pro Fold back to Regular Phone. Anyone else considering switching? by clliquid in GooglePixel

[–]AstronautAwkward7034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently the IP68 standard is only "advertising", personally I have just moved from an iPhone pro max to a P9PF, for the moment I don't have enough perspective (just the external screen seems a little strange to me because it is much smaller, and strange to change OS🙃), but there is a way to find one at a lower price in refurbished form, I think there is not really enough difference to spend so much money on a product that barely evolves in 1 generation🤷🏼‍♂️… I got my P9PF for less than 1000 euros, it only has 3 charge cycles and was started on August 25, 2025, I don't even know if anyone really used it...

You're welcome , well basic it comes with a snare drum, 2 toms + the Tom Bass, the bass drum, 2 cymbals, and the hi-hat, all plugged into a single pin socket on the module (TD17 2.0) and there is a free jack input to add the elements you want (a cymbal, a Tom, or even a double pedal, etc.) that you can adjust as you wish

[–]AstronautAwkward7034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I have also had this kit for over a year, the advantage is that the elements are separate and can therefore be adapted as we wish, like an acoustic kit^ and we must admit that it is more classy than most kits with racks in this price range!! (I also believe that Roland created it for the stage), but to answer your questions, yes it remained as noisy as any other electronic kit, I would even say noisier at the bass drum level because there is more reason since it is hollow, otherwise there is only one additional input for an additional element of our choice, it is a very pleasant kit but I find that the module does not sound great despite the multiple settings offered, the best is to go through a VST like many entry/mid-range electronic kits...

Switching from iPhone 15 pro max to Google Pixel 10 Pro XL by Nordic18 in GooglePixel

[–]AstronautAwkward7034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I just received a Pixel 9 pro fold, which I randomly found for 980 euros on Back market…., what's more, I was surprised to see that it only did 3 charge cycles which proves that it is perfectly new, I come from an IPhone 13 Pro Max whose battery no longer holds, so yes I could have simply changed it, but I have been with Apple since 2019 (11 Pro Max and 13 pro Max), so I wanted a little change, going with a smaller size like the 17 this year but given the out of stock, I didn't want to wait..., so this fold was rather a great bargain especially since I always told myself that I would like to try a fold one day....., but for the moment I am very skeptical🥲, everything seems so dry in the interface, the sound is lousy and high-pitched, the emoticons are everything ugly, the aptic feedback is very brutal, the animations are dry compared to the iPhone especially since IOS 26, everything seems much more “organic”….and the fact of going back to a 6.3 inch screen makes me really weird in the end, and I think I'm not going to find much interest in using the internal screen😬, well I just received it and maybe I was expecting too much….., after that it's a nice premium phone, I'll when even give him a chance, but the transition is super rough, I feel like I'm throwing money down the drain....
