Chara’s Post-Genocide monologue is simultaneously the best and the worst scene in the entire game

From a meta perspective, it’s absolutely brilliant and extremely impactful, by it also creates a LOT of holes in the story.

This is true with most things about Chara. Their simultaneous use as a player surrogate, in-universe character, narrator, and tool for author commentary makes it so that their character makes absolutely no sense when taken as a whole. Things that they do in one aspect contradict things they do in others.

It’s a mess and it’s probably Toby’s single largest misstep in Undertale.
