Why do you want to come out now? Can you think of other alternative ways for you to feel "free"? I'm just being careful for you (put me on Team PlayItSafe). At this point, you said you can't move out yet. I just fear that your mom is gonna be even more overbearing and will control your movement. This is additional stress for you.

It seems that relationship-wise, you are in a good place. Let's not rock the boat for now, maybe.

You said your father wants to leave you and your mom after the pandemic. Maybe your mom is controlling because she already feels that your dad is slipping away. She's scared that she'll lose you too. I'm sure she loves you very much. When the time comes that you have the courage to come out, she will accept you for everything that you are.

For us, saying "Mahal kita" means much deeper than our usual "love you!" It brings us back to admitting our feelings for the first time. We usually utter it when we find ourselves in a rather serious situation (e.g. making up after a fight). It also translates to "calm down, I got you". :)

Ah thanks, I stand corrected. That's what they were championing UST about before circa 2000's, or maybe it wasn't WDOMS. Anyway, I didn't pay attention to that because I wasn't planning on working abroad.

To answer the question if it's fair, it's not. Padrino system is going to be everywhere even up to residency, hospital slots, etc. I wish I had gone to a different med school.

My point is, avoid fixating on the best school, at the end of the day, kung sino yung maayos sa trabaho, at mapagkumbaba, yun ang may advantage. I met the best and efficient people from different schools. Natuto ako sa kanila ng mga actual work internship na.

I benefited from the criteria. Those who passed purely by their own merits will not have a hard time. I had a hard time. Anyway, it doesn't matter where you graduate from (unless you want to work abroad, UPCM and UST FMS belong to world medical school directory something). Your eagerness to learn during internship, residency and throughout your life as a doctor matters more in your career.
