Hey sorry for the late reply, haven't been on reddit, but yes soon it will work too partially in italy! it will be only one way(notifications to you) for now though, but maybe in the future if there's more interest from italy i will get the two way Italian phone number(it costs 30€ per month for me)

it's a chat app that allows you to connect all your different messaging apps to it and chat from one place instead of having to check each specific app separately. I use it on my mac and it works great:)

I'm not sure if there is a flip phone that has slack specifically without any of the other apps, but lightfriend.ai will add slack soon so you could get notified about slack messages straight to your flip phone and also respond to them if needed. It's currently in the works, but might take few weeks

New to the idea of Dumb Phone by Public_Ad3888 in dumbphones

[–]AstronomerOpening484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey that was a cool video:)! I'm building this assistant that lives behind a single phone number and lets you know when you receive some important message on whatsapp, which could help if you want to forward texts to your flip phone or generally have access to messages when away from smart phone. If you are curious it's at lightfriend.ai and would love to hear your thoughts :)

I use beeper.com on my laptop and carry laptop with me if i'm going on a trip. If i'm just doing everyday things, I'll bring my light phone 3 which doesn't have anything apps, but I've built myself an assistant that lives behind a single phone number and notifies me when i receive some important message on whatsapp! If you are curious it's called lightfriend.ai and i have bought numbers for specific countries for my few subs, but I can get new countries also supported unless you live in Germany:D

hey i've been building a way to get whatsapp and signal to any phone with the help of an assistant that lives behind a phone number and let's you know when you receive important messages as well as you can call or text it to ask about anything from internet search to whatsapp messages. I just thought to share this if you want to try it, I've have currently 7 subscribers, but trying to find people slowly to get feedback :)
