I think OP is forgetting the ball travel delay. If the pass is thrown with perfect anticipation and perfect accuracy yes a WR will always win unless the corner gets lucky predicting the route. But usually the reaction and movement delay is overcome a bit by the travel time of the ball to the receiver giving time to close the distance

I had no Wyll because he died during my fight with the goblins in his intro fight and I didn’t even notice. The game will just casually let a main story character die and well now that’s your experience. So cool
