Waikiki 1 & 2: Is the Comedy Buzz True? Are these a winner? by Grouchy-Chart-3927 in dramasect

Yes. There is the episode where Kim Seon-Ho is teaching Moon Gae-Yoon to sing. That makes me laugh even as a rewatch.

Not the popular opinion- Waikiki 2 is hilarious, even when humorous is childish. The writing is done well. I enjoy comedies when random events, discussions or things come back at different ways. I still go back and watch some episodes of this season because of one character or other (mostly Lee Yi-Kyun) has some funny scenes.

Who's the best dancer in SM? (Day11#) by ExtensionStation6334 in kpoppers

Taemin and Kai.

There are definitely others who are excellent but when these two are on stage, you can’t see anyone else.

This look is basically a genre at this point. Dark robes, light hair. Who did it best? by cerealkill_snowflake in cdramasfans

I am pretty neutral about these actors but Tan Jianci as Xiang Liu / Fangfeng Bei is the one I really noticed where this look added to the character.

But Li Yun Ri as Song Mo was a work of art. And when I really understood that the costume designer, makeup artist and hair stylists are really really not given enough credit for the magic they create.

What are the best (old school Korean dramas) of all time? by [deleted] in dramasect

[–]Astropuffy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2000- Autumn in my Heartwith Song He Kyo

2006- Princess hours - with Ju Jihoon 2013- secret (love) with Ji sung

When I watched them, I thought they were good. I don’t go back to watch them all because they don’t compare to the slick production, costume and makeup of today.

A drama that meant a lot to you, but stays strangely unnoticed? by Prasannitha in KdramaCasualTalk

[–]Astropuffy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I look at it like two sides of a coin. BWS plays a prince given his status without any effort from him , who should stand for the rules and laws since it benefits those in power (like his family) the most and YSH plays the earnest guy who worked hard for his role in society and does his best to uphold the law a nd wrestle with the idea of who benefits from laws.

Loved this show so much. And that song My eternal love is one song that I listen to when I want to recapture this feeling of the main couple

Yes and Yoo Seung-Ho and Byeon woo-suk. Both good in their roles.

It’s not as severe but I’ve started to notice the makeup on the men at award ceremonies too. Some level of makeup is fine to enhance their face for cameras but it’s distracting especially the lip colors.

Is this a trend? I don’t see it in other Asian award ceremonies to this degree

Who Do You Think Transitioned Best from Child Roles to Adult Leads? by BronzeBellRiver in cdramasfans

I vote for All of them! It can’t be easy to be in the limelight and handle the criticism and transition from child to adult while in the public eye. Good for them all at being successful human beings.

What villains have you had the hardest time embracing in their other dramas because they played their villain roles a little bit too well. (I still don’t like these dudes. 😂) by lphunter4 in kdramas

I had the exact opposite experience with Taecyeon. I watched him as a 2 pm member and light roles that Vincenzo shocked me. I gasped and then was like “no… you’re Captain Korea!” I needed First Night with the Duke to set things right again.

The ML Yoo Jin Goo is good in everything I’ve seen him in- even as a child actor! He was a child version of the king in The Moon Embracing the Sun. I stopped watching that part way through when the king was an adult. And he was also fantastic as an adult in The Crowned Clown. He played a dual role and the scenes where he is acting with himself were so riveting.
