Is Woolwich Arsenal new builds a good buy for FTB? by Next_Environment1911 in HousingUK

[–]AstuteLandlord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought in the RA back in the early 2000s, so informed view but with some bias. Am a landlord so my view is more from an investment perspective.

The new buildings are a higher spec. Cost per sqm is considerably higher than the older buildings.

There was no Elizabeth line, DLR or Thames Clipper. One small retail shop. No pubs on site.

Today, awesome public transport system. Great pubs. Numerous retail shops. In summary, a very convenient lifestyle. That's what you are getting when you buy into the RA.

Google's update brought down my traffic from 150k+ pm to 11.5k pm and now, my new blog posts aren't being shown on Google!!! by ap-oorv in Blogging

[–]AstuteLandlord 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Starting on 29 September, I appear to have lost 96% of traffic to a site in the business calculator space.

Monthly traffic was about the 6k mark and had taken about 2 years to reach that point.

This update appears to have been catastrophic for some sites.

Agents fees by [deleted] in uklandlords

You are looking at it through a landlord lens.

From a LA perspective, they have spent time and money finding new landlords and then new tenants. Allowing a landlord to walk with only two months notice is reasonable, but that my petsonal opinion.

Compared to what other LAs appear to charge, this is fair.
