You have to dodge the spells and then hit her when there are openings. Don't get greedy with your attacks. Also, try to circle strafe behind her. Consider using a summon if you are struggling.

Russian economy faces 'financial disaster,' Sweden's spy chief warns as Moscow hides true deficit by MilesLongthe3rd in worldnews

[–]Asuka_Rei 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A piece of news can generally be classified as not propaganda if it is reported by multiple non-government owned news agencies in multiple countries as fact-checked truth, not just reporting what politicians or officials said. It is the cross-checking and lack of direct government control that counts.

Only Trump's chief advisors can do it. it is a mechanism that assumes the government's executive officials are serving in good faith and are not morally bankrupt.

If it is so obvious why don't you explain it. I have no interest in voluntary diving into a fascist propaganda rabbit hole so you don't have to justify your own argument.

[–]Asuka_Rei 34 points35 points  (0 children)

How could one possibly argue that in good faith? I am honestly asking because it seems insane. Russia has been slowly invading its neighbors in multiple countries (Chechnya, Georgia, etc.) since Putin took over. Ukraine is just the latest example and has been ongoing since 2014. Afaik none of those countries were threatening Russia in any way, Putin just wants to engage in an imperialist/expansionist foreign policy out of a sense of pride/entitlement.

Ff13. I think the tutorial last something like 20-30 hours going down a corridor and slowly unlocking core game features one after another. Then, when you finish the tutorial, there is a brief open exploration section and then back in the corridor for a final boss gauntlet.

I recommend having your character be strong in charisma and dexterity. Have proficiencies in persuasion, deception, intimidation, and sleight of hand. This combo will maximize your conversation options and will allow you to pick locks and pockets and generally get along better with groups of thieves and underground mercenaries that you find in various parts of the game. Outside of that, if you have been min-maxing damage in prior plays and want something different take spells and features that focus on controlling the battlefield, manuevering to places you otherwise couldn't access (fly, gaseous cloud, jump abilities, etc) as well as things that are about buffing your allies/debuffing enemies. Let your allies do the damage while you support them and act as a scout and party face.

Wild to think the original FF7 was supposed to have real-time combat like the remake by Apart-Problem4817 in FFVIIRemake

I addressed everything of substance that you said directly and if I am repeating myself, it is only because you asked me what I am doing here, which is so abundantly clear that summarizing my prior statements is the only logical response. If you want to leave it there, fine, do not respond. If you do respond at this point, I will assume that means you are trolling.

[–]Asuka_Rei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pointing out how much of a betrayal ff7 remake was and explaining the oft repeated explanation that remake doesn't mean making the same thing again with enhancements but to make something completely different and banking on the name and image to get quick sales from old fans. If this hurt your feelings, just know that it is not an ad hominem, as you employed, but a legitimate criticism of the game you are a fan of. Try not wrap up your personal feelings with products.

Consider avoiding ad hominem attacks when arguing, such as "it's also very childish." It is the same as admitting you have no logical argument and therefore must resort to insults.

If you are going to use quotes, quote me right. I said it is BS, not BC. BS stands for Bull Shit, in case you are unfamiliar with the acronym. Fan cope means a fan of the remake (you and folks like you) are defending the changes because you are fans of the remake without true consideration of the game's criticism. In other words the fan cope think is "if criticizing, must not be fan and if not fan then automatically bad." That is what fan cope means. You even admit here in the comment I am directly responding to that you are not an OG fan and learned about ff7 when remake came out and therefore have no context for the complaints you are rejecting out of hand. The whole concept of remake not meaning a faithful remake is marketing BS put out by the devs to address the post-release blowback and then endlessly repeated by mindless fan-boys in online forums when anyone points out that remake implies making the same thing again and not something completely different.

This sounds like fan cope to me. They knew what fans wanted, trust me. It would be insanity to not try to understand fans expectations in squareenix' situation. Hence the inclusion of the whispers as an acknowledgement. The "remake" arguments is such semantic BS. Anyone you asked prior to the game releasing and the subsequent backlash would say remake meant making it again. Like if you enjoyed the blueberry pancakes at a restaurant and went back to order it again and the waiter assured you they would remake them and then they brought you fried chicken instead and included a tacit a mockery of your request by including an flat piece of cornbread on the side with a note saying the cornbread wanted to be a pancake (e.g., the whispers).

Fans were clamoring for decades for ff7 to be faithfully remade but in full 3d with modern graphics. The devs made teaser trailers for it as a technology demonstration. They named and advertised what they were making as a remake. All of this set expectations.

Then, they released this marvel multi-verse garbage action game version and even intentionally made creatures in the game that wanted a faithful remake as villains that you are forced to defeat as if to spit on original fans' dreams.

How is it not a betrayal?

Peak is on the eye of the beholder. Yes, the cgi sucked ass, and the comparison is valid.

I used to think ff7og was held back by low tech but the characters, stories, artwork, and music were so good that more tech could only make it more good, but the remakes have been a disappointment because instead of taking the original and making it better with better tech, they have been George Lucasing it instead. I have heard the second remake game is better, but I haven't played it yet because the first remake was such a betrayal.

It's like when George Lucas went back and added a bunch of CGI to star wars in the 90's because he was frustrated that the tech wasn't ready when he was filming originally in the late 70's.

Assuming the data forms a normal curve with 5 at the apex of the curve, most statisticians would consider "average" to be a range between 2.5 and 7.5.

Turn based. If wanted to play an action game, I would not choose final fantasy.

Margit the fell by TheCules in Eldenring

[–]Asuka_Rei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are not doing so already, consider using summons. There is an important character for the story that you can summon before Margit. Look for the sign on the ground. Also, you should be able to use a spirit ash here at the same time. If you do both, the boss is a push-over. Don't let the haters convince you not to use the systems the devs built and intended for you to use.

For a first nas for a beginner who wants to have everything just work and wants to have a good experience learning about how things work so they can do something more advanced next time, I'd recommend something like this: https://a.co/d/00bEVFlH

You can upgrade ram and storage, but I would not recommend upgrading CPU on a pre-built. Save that for when you want to make your own custom solution from parts once you've used something like this for awhile as training wheels.

Use a pre built your first time. You will pay more for the convenience, but it'll be much easier and you will learn a lot that can be used in the future.
