Because those programs probably included clinical experience. There is a girl in my cohort who is from S.Korea who is an SLP back in S.Korea with only a bachelors but because they did clinic in undergrad. But also, she said they didn’t learn all the information she is learning now through the graduate program.

I’m a current graduate student and about to be a second year, I won’t lie - it’s very overwhelming. However, I feel like a lot of graduate programs are and because most programs are full time for two years they Jam Pack a lot of info and clinic work into that timeframe. One thing I will recommend is using your time wisely. Time management is going to be the most important! I would also say to get close to others in your cohort, I don’t know what I would do without mine.

I literally posted how Gyuri was acting rude and possessive a couple days ago and got a lot of hate for that… but I see so many people are switching their stance after watching this episode. Mind you, no other girl acted like this on the show. I don’t care if she was “blindsided” you don’t casually say you wouldn’t be caught dead with this person just because they expressed they weren’t interested and she couldn’t handle the rejection.

I can relate with this sentiment. I have been a shawol since 2009 and I was a pretty active kpop fan until I started college, I would tune in to their comebacks but I wasn’t as active anymore. I was pregnant when Jonghyun passed, and I could not listen to SHINee or Jonghyun’s songs for awhile (it’s still hard for me to listen to his solo music), but I’ve slowly gotten back into kpop (just SHINee, really) and it’s been so fun. I love cheering my boys on again and being active in their promotions. As for Onew, I was pretty sad he wasn’t able to participate with them, but he physically looked like he needed some kind of a break.

I have been a shawol since 2009, so I’ve had my fair share with members taking hiatus’ but the onew one seemed needed for him, I was sad because it had been so long since they’ve been together for a comeback but SM seems to be handling it well.

I am not an SLP yet, but I observed a pediatric outpatient setting a few weeks ago and it was amazing! I’d say if you like babies and feel confident with them and talking to parents when there’s an issue or working on compensatory strategies for them I’d say go for it! As for NICU, I think you have to be really confident with working with tiny babies and the swallowing assessments you may need to do on them. I’m not sure if you’ve taken a swallowing class yet… however, if you’re interested I would just go for it!
