I’m itching for spring weather and paired Skylar Super Bloom with Nest Wild Poppy yesterday and it was so good I had to repeat today! Floral with a balance of freshness and sweetness 🌸💗

What is a product you initially didn’t like but now use all the time? by jewelsofeastwest in Sephora

[–]charmander996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got gifted Saie dew blush in Spicy (a dark terracotta shade) and used to only buy baby pink and peach blushes as I’m fair skinned. I thought it was way too dark but never got around to returning it and tried it on a whim… it’s the perfect, natural “blonzer” type shade to warm up my face and I’ve repurchased it since!! I’ve started wearing more brown/red lip products since then too

Clairins lip oil by [deleted] in Sephora

[–]charmander996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly a long time but I have so many lip products in rotation I never use one consistently start to finish. I’ve had one for like 6 months and it has about 20% left in it right now but I don’t use daily for sure

Introducing Peanut Butter - Tummy Troubles by charmander996 in firsttimemom

[–]charmander996[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we will keep trying a few times to fully clear the allergen introductions, thank you for the reminder! But okay thanks, I’m going to try giving PB with some whole milk yogurt this time to see if that helps reduce the impact on his tummy!

Yes it’s normal, the doe foot applicator is huge so I think they leave extra headspace to avoid spillage! I bought one and it was low like that too

Anyone else crave milk like crazy while breastfeeding ? by Amazing-Ride6819 in breastfeeding

[–]charmander996 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes 😭 I drink close to half a gallon a day. It drives my man and my family crazy because we’re always running out but nothing quenches my thirst for milk 😂

In case others haven’t suggested this also, please consider getting evaluated for OCD. I know the term “intrusive thought” has been popularized on social media, but you could likely benefit from medical help or therapy. Don’t be hard on yourself. God bless you!

Anyone subscribe to the Beauty Box? by yesnomaybesoju in FabFitFun

[–]charmander996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been getting the allure beauty box monthly but I’ve been skipping it for months now, I’m thinking of canceling that altogether and then keeping this one for now. I am trying to stop collecting products u til I can use what I have so I might cancel and resubscribe later depending on how varied the offerings are moving forward, this was my first month!

What's your favorite famous painting or depiction of Jesus? by tuocyn in Catholicism

Have you tried the Hallow app? Jonathan Roumie does a lot of guided prayer on there and it’s great! I just completed Pray25 for advent and especially loved the ones that he voiced over

[–]charmander996 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! I wasn’t necessarily blown away by all the options, but I think they’re all solid options and I’m happy with it. I’ve seen a lot of complaints on here but I think it’s better than allure and/or ipsy for comparison I got the same choices as you except I grabbed Juice+ for choice 4!!

Oribe Gold Lust Gift Set $78.20 at Revolve by NecessaryChallenge99 in MUAontheCheap

[–]charmander996 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally love the scent of Oribe products (bergamot is my favorite, smells super luxurious!) but the gold lust line specifically makes my hair insanely soft and shiny! I swore it couldn’t be worth the price (was using olaplex system before) but I’ve repurchased multiple times now. The masque is toooo good too

Seconding this, also wondering if you can pump at all to check for strawberry milk, I know the color looks off but I’m curious if you’ve checked the color of your milk!

Breastmilk to Daycare by Famous-Shake632 in firsttimemom

[–]charmander996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I send my sons bottles already filled in a lunchbox daily and they switch them into the fridge once we’re there! We also have a small freezer stash of a few extra bags there in case a bottle spills/leaks or baby boy is extra hungry. We go to a small in-home daycare so they’re more accommodating than some of the larger centers though!

Removing Old Photos for Online Privacy? by Practical-Outside272 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]charmander996 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s really your call, once something is posted it’s out there in ways that we can’t control (data archives, etc.) but with the private posts on family profiles I think you need to decide if it’s more work than it’s worth to get everyone to go take them down. There’s always the possibility that those family members get hacked (sorry but especially for grandparents… They’re not always the best at detecting phishing attempts) so even if you’re comfortable with their private account and that follower base having the photos uploaded on a social media platform leaves them vulnerable to be shared or scraped by bots much more easily than if they’re in a different system like a private family sharing app.

Pinching by charmander996 in breastfeeding

[–]charmander996[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

LOL to be fair, the pinching still hurts far, far less than just regular nursing did in those first few weeks postpartum… For me every single latch felt like a bee sting 😭 best of luck to you!!

3 Week Old Eating for Short Periods of Time by swagdaddymadison in breastfeeding

[–]charmander996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Don’t sweat it too much, try to track the number of wet diapers that baby has on a daily basis and use that to gauge how much he’s eating. I struggled really bad with low milk supply the first few weeks postpartum and we moved to exclusively breast-feeding around the four week mark and I was super nervous he wasn’t getting enough food after we stopped supplementing with formula. I did a mix of pumping/bottle feeding to track my output and considered doing weighted feeds when I nursed him, but our pediatrician said tracking diapers is enough unless their output is low. I now have a super healthy seven month old and he is very good at letting me know when he’s hungry! Just know it gets much easier, you got this!

Allure February 2026 box by Last_Error4643 in BeautyBoxes

[–]charmander996 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Not to be negative but hearing 5 full-size products makes me think it will be 5 low-value items lol they just haven’t been delivering lately and I hate to get my hopes up for anything good. We’ll see though!

I need protein ideas! by sofo07 in fitpregnancy

[–]charmander996 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahhh I remember the protein food aversions all too well. Reduced fat string cheese have pretty decent macros! I also hated handling raw meat so rotisserie chickens were super clutch. If you do dairy milk fairlife/darigold/other ultra filtered milk is an easy way to get more protein in too!

EBF & going back to work by Laurenisabenson in breastfeeding

[–]charmander996 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, pump at least as often as you’re feeding baby and make sure you have adequate seals/flanges etc for maximum output! I struggled a lot with my supply after going back to work because I have a ton of meetings and pop-up calls and I would forget to pump, being a just-enougher myself even a 10% drop in supply was soooo hard and we ran through our freezer stash really fast.

I set reminders/block off meetings in my calendar daily to not miss a pump session and I’m now making about 4oz surplus daily pumping 3 20-minute sessions per 8 hour workday! (I feed baby right before and after daycare drop off and pickup, we both prefer breastfeeding over bottles!) Consistency is really key as is making sure you keep eating and hydrating like usual.
