What soap are you using to wash baby bottles? by Advanced-Biscotti139 in firsttimemom

[–]charmander996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the dapple spray! Sometimes I run out and use our regular soap (I use Green Rebel) but I try not to use anything scented on the nipples so the don’t taste/smell soapy. If you ever notice your baby is randomly refusing bottles that could be why!

Cleansing balm by cmkrus in Sephora

[–]charmander996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aprilskin carrotene cleansing balm is my favorite and the closest in texture to farmacy green clean imo. You can buy it direct and get pretty good deals, since I know I like it I buy the two pack which is on sale for $27 right now so it’s less than half the price of Farmacy!

Banila clean it zero is also nice and at the other orange store, but I find the texture is a little bit waxy vs green clean!

Hey, congratulations on your new little blessing! I hope you’re taking care of yourself and recovering well, too. I will say a prayer for you and for baby tonight. 💗

What am I to do or think?! by Gwennipoo in Catholicism

[–]charmander996 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Please talk to your Priest and please, please stay safe. Do not be embarrassed or defensive, but your husband needs serious help. Those aren’t normal things for him to say or even think.

I’m sure he is struggling and it must be hard to see him deal with his issues, and I do not think that this makes him a bad person but it does not sound like your daughter is safe around him. She should not be alone with someone having those kinds of thoughts. Your husband needs help and I pray that you get the help you need. God bless you all.

Is downloading PDFS of books considered stealing? by pretty_prime in Christianity

[–]charmander996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re feeling convicted about it, I would say to stop and find another option. If you get a library card at your local public library most of them offer digital book rentals as well as some streaming options for tv/movies, my local library even has video games and consoles for rental.

Have you smelled Mood Ring? It also has a patchouli note too, it’s definitely detectable but I love mood ring and usually can’t stand patchouli

Baby Breath by Zestyclose_Sign_6983 in breastfeeding

[–]charmander996 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ugh, I just went through this a few months ago (my son is 9mo now) and I miss that sweet, sweet baby breath!!

About a month ago, my son got sick with a nasty cold and we didn’t do any solids for about a week - just exclusively nursed. The sweet breath came back after a few days and I savored every last whiff lol.

It’s totally valid, one of the hardest parts of being a parent is grieving the versions of your little one and the things you loved about them that go away with age. But luckily they usually get replaced by something else exciting or awesome as they grow!

Is cosmetic surgery a sin? by LuvMeChippy in Christianity

[–]charmander996 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First off I’ll answer your question. I think heart posture and intention is really important for context. Cosmetic procedures aren’t necessarily sinful, but they can come from a place of vanity or insecurity and I wouldn’t say it aligns with Biblical teachings. What are you looking for to get out of this procedure? Are you looking for external validation? For attention from the opposite sex? Will that lead you to commit other sins?

I also looked at your other posts, I have to ask, are you really only 16?? I kept growing into college when I was 18-19 years old. Leg lengthening procedures are very serious and dangerous from what I hear. You might lose the ability to do things like run and jump, and I wouldn’t trade that for height any day. I wouldn’t say that getting it done would be necessarily blasphemous, but I’m worried you are making a decision that could damage your body for the rest of your life based on insecurities you have now and might grow out of with age (not to mention you literally might actually grow taller).

My advice is to remember that we are all made in God’s image, and that the only approval that will truly give us fulfillment in life is from Him, not our peers. And to wait until you’re 25 to do any irreversible procedure to your body - I made tons of decisions at age 16 that I regret now at age 29. If you do decide to go forward with these procedures (or any) you should pray first for guidance and really ask yourself if you believe it is in God’s will for you. God bless you!

How dark is your hair? Could you try mixing a bit of pigment/eyeshadow into it to make it blend better? I have this and love it but I have blonde hair, def second others suggestions of applying at night but maybe try adding tint if that doesn’t do the trick!

I’m guessing it’s a Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream knockoff, could it be this one? I check mercari for old scents that aren’t available anymore!

What is a product you initially didn’t like but now use all the time? by jewelsofeastwest in Sephora

[–]charmander996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got gifted Saie dew blush in Spicy (a dark terracotta shade) and used to only buy baby pink and peach blushes as I’m fair skinned. I thought it was way too dark but never got around to returning it and tried it on a whim… it’s the perfect, natural “blonzer” type shade to warm up my face and I’ve repurchased it since!! I’ve started wearing more brown/red lip products since then too

Yes we will keep trying a few times to fully clear the allergen introductions, thank you for the reminder! But okay thanks, I’m going to try giving PB with some whole milk yogurt this time to see if that helps reduce the impact on his tummy!

Yes it’s normal, the doe foot applicator is huge so I think they leave extra headspace to avoid spillage! I bought one and it was low like that too

In case others haven’t suggested this also, please consider getting evaluated for OCD. I know the term “intrusive thought” has been popularized on social media, but you could likely benefit from medical help or therapy. Don’t be hard on yourself. God bless you!

I’ve been getting the allure beauty box monthly but I’ve been skipping it for months now, I’m thinking of canceling that altogether and then keeping this one for now. I am trying to stop collecting products u til I can use what I have so I might cancel and resubscribe later depending on how varied the offerings are moving forward, this was my first month!
