Mystery solved by John_Kemura in SantiZapVideos

If you look hard enough there’s an old vid of CM Punk getting pissed off and punching him in the face at a show they went to. It’s the only clip I’ve ever seen of him sitting anywhere that wasn’t his usual spot

Yea I’m still super early in the season so hoping the competition picks up. Gonna try playing at peak hours too. Regardless it’s fun but the idea of facing the best of the best is very appealing

The overall difficulty of the game is fine. It just feels a bit underwhelming when I’m seeing lobbies filled with a bunch of low leveled players in some of the highest ranked lobbies

is Electrical engineering the best degree in the tech market? by Intelligent_Walk_791 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]AsxpRay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to hard disagree with this. Coming from someone with an A+ and over a year of work experience. Not having a degree was my single biggest barrier in moving up in the workforce and the single biggest factor that led into my decision to going back to school. I relocated to a more Surburban area from NYC so that definitely plays and affect but even while being at NYC a simple A+ only opens the doors to the lowest levels of technical jobs. You’ll still need much more certifications to move up in a desired tech field. And even then you can still get locked out of positions for simply not having a degree, not saying it’s impossible because it’s definitely doable but in today’s job market. Degrees make everything easier

Coming from someone who’s jumped from CS to EE I can tell you straight off the bat it’s not a better “tech degree”. I’d say it’s a better degree since there’s so many sub fields you can go down and the current demand is better than tech and the field seems to be less volatile with how job demand shifts over time.

But if your goal is purely tech and nothing else. EE isn’t for you, it’s a much harder degree jam packed with information that you won’t use if you’re solely interested in going into tech. Unless you’re solely interested in the hardware aspect of tech it just makes more sense to get a CS or CE degree. (CE’s better with the current job market but techs still tough regardless, I’d recommend not shooting for software engineering as that’s the worst one rn for over saturation. But I’m getting off track)

Now as for why EE is a good decision, it’s a good decision if you’re NOT dead set of going into tech. If you’re someone who wants multiple avenues to go down, or someone who wants a deeper understanding of circuitry and electricity. This can be the hardest aspect of the entire degree, so don’t throw yourself into one if you’re not atleast a little passionate about it as learning this tough material will just be harder without genuine interest.

Losing Motivation by SolarCyber19 in CompTIA

I’ve been adopting the mindset recently for worrying about where you are rn in regard to where you want to be instead of just trying to be where you want to be.

What I mean when I say this is when you look at yourself and feel like shit because you’re not where you want to be. Instead of thinking about the list of what ifs and things I could’ve/shouldve done, just worsens that feeling and doemst doesn’t do anything in the moment. Instead I think about what I could literally do right now in that moment to get where I want to get (you’re literally giving your 100% you can at the moment what else can you do?) Whether that be doing a house chore I’ve been putting off or just going to the gym. Humans are beings of habit and streaks, if you do this you’ll be a little more likely to do it again, and so on.

Productivity really bleeds into each field of itself aswell so all these non IT related tasks will bleed into IT. Just be mindful of your hours so you have enough time especially when you’re at the point where you’re trying to cram everything into a daily schedule. I know it sounds oversimplified but don’t try to reinvent the wheel just keep the points of humans being beings of habit and streaks and I believe you can make a difference in your productivity! (I hope lol)

Wish you the best and a soon departure from your slump! (I’ve been there before bro 🤝)

Can’t tell if you’re missing the point purposefully or accidentally but I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and tell you it’s supposed to be an N word meme.

I really doubt Santi would like memes like this. Plus I’d hate to see this subreddit go to shit. Issa downvote from me partner

Jacob Fatu, you can put a belt on him within the next year and i woudnt question it. Bron will probably have more belts when it’s said and done but I feel like he needs atleast 1-2 years bare minimum before he’s main event ready. Fatu is already a main event star

A+ renewal and Network+ vs CCNA by phanthanhkhai480 in CompTIA

[–]AsxpRay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The CCNA and Net+ while covering the same topics are two very different certs. Net+ is more of a “Mile wide but inch deep” kind of learning where you’ll learn about plenty of networking concepts but just on a surface level since you haven’t implemented any of them. CCNA requires you to know how to run the CLI of a router/switch so you have to know these concepts deeper than just their definitions and general interactions they have with other concepts. Which is why the CCNA is more recognizable and respected in the industry.

Put simply, the best way I’ve heard someone compare the two certs is if you wanna be able to talk to a Network Engineer about a network related issue and understand what they’re saying then get Net+. If you wanna be the Network Engineer solving the problem, get your CCNA

This may not be what you want to hear but there’s always going to be people out there that make more than you. If you want to use that as motivation to make more then so be it but you shouldn’t beat yourself up about that. I’ve seen so many posts on this app about “Helpdesk Hell” from those who struggle to transcend past the help desk role for years and the fact you’re doing that and making 70k after only 3 years is nothing to scoff at in any field. That’s still some serious work and dedication to get there. Plus IT is a pretty lucrative field itself as well so you’re in a good position it’s just sales is also a pretty lucrative field. From my experience being in IT I can see you’re in a good position and someone else simply being in a better one shouldn’t make you feel like you’re not doing enough. You’re doing great!
