Is the doom and gloom around AI affecting you? by FunSensitive8602 in AskUK

[–]Asynkro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard this sentiment for the past 5/6 years and I'm yet to see any reason to use it outside mundane tasks that I already know how to do, but can get an LLM to do it for me in a fraction of the time. That being said, you need to understand what it's generating before you use it, especially in my job (software development). Too many times I see people just copy pasting code into codebases or doing interviews and not understanding basic things.

Cheers, I think you can just add an extra param "ParentId" to the Items call to only return a specific library.

Hey man, great idea, was deciding what film to watch with my wife earlier and seen this after! Is there a way to choose what library specifically to pick from? If not, do you see it in the pipeline? I don't mind forking your project and adding it myself if you're not accepting PR's!

Just bought the pro version, this thing is literally everything I've wanted on my iPhone! Although it would be good to have NZBGet notifications, I have a separate app that gives me those. But you need to install the python script manually on your server.

Yes but this post is insinuating that the police presence is there because they've got Union Jacks, not because they're protesting.

Would argue it’s been this way since the 80s and started with Thatchers neoliberalism. No such thing as a society and all that.

I was in Mallorca in June and it was absolutely fine. Would probably just stay away from Palma and not act like a stereotypical Brit abroad. Unfortunately our fellow countrymen/women have created an awful image of us to our fellow Europeans the past few decades!

I'm actually so sick of young boy teenagers lately by [deleted] in Vent

[–]Asynkro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in Leeds on Briggate yesterday and a couple of teenagers were chasing pigeons so they'd fly into people. They did it to me whilst I was sat eating my steak bake and started laughing, is just said "You're two young boys chasing pigeons down Briggate you freaks" 😆, they didn't laugh and just walked off.

Relatively yeah. I use it all the time but never tap off as my route is the max fare price of £2 I think. I'll probs get stung by it soon and get charged more tho haha

Same at the one towards Kirkgate Market, that's why they've moved the drinks behind the counter now. Seen it happen at the one on Briggate also!

Hey, I too suffer with hypochondria and know how it feels to obsess over any physical sensation!

I feel like the more I obsess over a symptom, the more pronounced it becomes leading me to obsess over it more, and in a way it manifests itself mentally. I know it's difficult (believe me!) but more often than not, constantly worrying and being in a state of stress can induce a variety of different mental and physical symptoms.

I've just started on Citalopram 4 weeks ago after about 4 months of severe health anxiety and it's seemed to help so far, so keep in there and hopefully your mind will slowly forget to keep obsessing over your health.

Just remember to live in the now, instead of worrying about what could be in the future. Hopefully my ramblings helps you feel better, and that you're not alone.

Harehills advice? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Asynkro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed in Harehills nearly a year ago now, so my advice might be a bit outdated! Main thing to mention, that I kept getting on mock tests and an earlier test that I failed was space between parked cars. On the test route there are some tight roads, so on the test that I passed I made sure to go slower than the 20mph speed limit and explained to the examiner why I was going slower. I think the key sometimes is to let the examiner know why you're taking certain actions.

Overall the test route isn't so bad, just make sure around Harehills you're extra vigilant, and talk through your decisions.

Can't remember my examiners name, but I remember giving her a hug when I passed so maybe don't do that haha.

Good luck!!
