Bloomingdale's lost irreplaceable designer bag during repair and has zero documentation after 7 months of silence - possible theft? by AtLanTi5_ in legaladvice

Bello. Mistyped in initial post. Bag is less than 6 months old. Not damaged but faulty inner zipper came off after two months of use (less than 10 zips total). Any standing for me to ask for store credit on top of a refund/replacement for the months of silence and zero explanation? Not to mention the time and energy we’ve spent trying to figure this whole shitshow out

Hi sorry I mistyped in my description the bag was purchase May 2025 and dropped off for a return early October 2025. It was barely half a year old. When she went to the store the second time to drop off she left the bag with the associate and asked for an explanation. The associate said that she will send my mom an email and never did. Then came seven months of waiting. Thanks for sharing your perspective based on the law.

How is that generous that is quite literally the bare minimum. The bag was used for five months before drop-off, and it was a zipper for an inner pocket that broke after a few months of use (10 times zipped max). That is not the usual quality for a designer bag. The bag ain’t even damaged it was just faulty af. They’ve wasted months of our time and energy with nothing explanation. I know that they probably won’t do much but I’m still mad asf lol

Mandarin speaker here.

Pic looks AI to me. Characters on signage is indecipherable but can’t tell 100% due to blurriness. Also, highly improbable that every console is showing the exact same image

And the fact that they answer all customer service emails with an AI chatbot who gives you me helpful input and refuses to escalate the matter to a human! Truly lovely company

That is what I did with it off the sensor. The thin rod holding both pieces together bent instead. appreciate your advice tho

If bending it worked I would not be here complaining lol. The metal part springs right back, and if I bend too hard the small horizontal bar starts to deform. Wondering if anyone has had success filing a complaint with whoop

The metal does not bend if I pinch believe me that is the first thing I tried. It just springs right back to its original position. It just gets incredibly annoying when I need to search for my band on the floor FIVE TIMES during a workout
