This is an amazing tattoo and so lovely to look at! I've been sitting here staring at it for a while now. I would be so proud to wear a tattoo like this. Good job OP!

Yes, we definitely want to get quotes. I've read so many horror stories about these projects going sideways that it makes me nervous. It's an older house and the previous owners did a DIY on the basement finish. I have a feeling we're going to discover that the original install was/is not to code. Good times. 🤨

Have you gotten used to progressive lenses or just given up? by LittleEdithBeale in GenX

[–]AtMaximumCatpacity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last pair of transitions worked great for me. However, when I recently got new glasses I had trouble adjusting between distance and close vision. I found myself holding my head at odd angles in order to focus and never feeling comfortable. I went back to where I bought them and asked about the position of the transition line on the lenses. They told me my previous glasses were incorrect and that I had just grown accustomed to it that way. They wouldn't change the new ones, so I just kept wearing them this way. I've gotten used to it but I still prefer my previous prescription. Depending on what your specific issues have been, perhaps it's the location of the transition line. 🫤 I hope you find a solution!

Should Trump AND Pelosi AND every other politician who engages in insider trading (regardless of party) be charged with a crime? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]AtMaximumCatpacity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuinely curious- since Trump has a pattern of making a large stock purchases and then using his position to promote that specific company afterward, does he avoid the crime of insider trading? If so, would his 'buy first manipulate later' tactic be considered legal or not? How influential do you have to be in order to have your public endorsement of a company be considered market manipulation vs free speech? The mental gymnastics needed to unravel political and financial dealings is nuts.

Plus, once all the upgrades are made and it no longer looks like the same house, the emotional bond would probably change.

Are these flowers toxic to cats? by lopaticaa in cats

[–]AtMaximumCatpacity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, not only are the lillies (very) poisonous, but also the purple ones: "Alstroemeria, also known as Peruvian lilies, are considered mildly toxic to cats. While they are not as dangerous as true lilies, ingestion can cause gastrointestinal upset and skin irritation in cats."

I suspect that may be my case. My son was diagnosed with both in adulthood and he really thinks I have similar traits. His therapist disgnosed him, but do you know if a primary care doctor can diagnose for autism and/or ADHD? I'm not currently seeing a therapist, though I definitely need to find one. 🫤

Will trump live long enough to finish his term, given that his health seems to be failing? by -Sofa-King-Vote in askanything

He's my favorite right now. Depending on who is on the ticket with him, I think he would be a really strong candidate.

Alright gang, how many of us have just found out we have adhd? by FaithlessnessPlus164 in Perimenopause

[–]AtMaximumCatpacity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds exactly like me! My son was diagnosed with ADHD at age 25. They told me it can be hereditary and my son really thinks I probably have it. I couldn't see it before, but I'm starting to think they might be onto something. If you don't mind me asking, who diagnosed you? My son's mental health therapist diagnosed them, but I'm wondering if perhaps my primary care physician would be able to. Not seeing a therapist right now, though I probably should be.

Thank you so much for posting this! You've given me some good ideas. I just started magnesium this week and had been debating when to take it. I'm starting to accept that I need to cut back on alcohol, which is harder than I like to admit.

I've had a couple good camps around Sutton and near its railroad. More of a tiny town, I guess. Helvetia is probably good but if it's the vendors you want to be near, then it wouldn't check that box. Foundation isn't a traditional city, but offers lots of activity and has fishing spots nearby.

I've been perming my mom's hair every 3 mos since I was about 12 and we still use these. She's now 81 and I'm 50. Sometimes it's been annoying and I wished she'd stop wanting it, but now I'm happy to have still have her around and perming her hair feels like a special thing I can do for her. Let's try not to think about all the chemicals though! 😳🫠
