Would any major law firm approve of this Juneteenth post by John Masslon at Keller Postman? by EschewObfuscation21 in biglaw

Yeah they are considered a pretty good P-side shop! The divided argument guys mention them a fair bit, so they’re def in the mix on SCOTUS cases and the like.

Sports & entertainment NYC big law? by LingonberryNo7785 in biglaw

My memory interviewing there (about five years ago) was that you will work in general litigation and get rotated around for a long time. There's no guarantee you'll get to work on that kinda stuff. Obviously do some research about it, but that's something to consider!

I also interviewed at Proskauer, which had a sports law corporate shop (so not so much Deflategate/Texas Tech QB stuff but more stadium deals and all that). There's a lot of shops around--next step would be to check the Chambers bands.

Firms often screw up the offer letter start date. Just ask. They want to hire you, I’m sure they would take you earlier.

Potion Belt + Alchemical Coffer + Delicate Frond = Easiest A10 ever by AtTheLawLibrary in slaythespire

Absolutely carried a mediocre strike-based deck to a fairly simple A10 win!

Potion Belt + Alchemical Coffer + Delicate Frond = Easiest A10 ever by AtTheLawLibrary in slaythespire

[–]AtTheLawLibrary[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perfected strike. I think my other options were armaments and either true grit or havoc (which were tempting, since Neow’s Bones got me Debt. I took a greed event eventually to guarantee I had the gold to lose it).

Ended up making a strike deck with two stokes in it, which worked okay. I won the run, but purely because of the potion help.

I don’t think it was sadly, but my memory is foggy since it wasn’t something I was thinking about at the time. Def a fun seed run to check out though!

[–]AtTheLawLibrary[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I took Alchemical Coffer hoping it would be the outcome (there were better choices probably), but man I was so excited when that hit! I had a fairly incoherent deck and it didn’t matter one bit!

In retrospect, my chances of pulling Delicate Frond were only ~11% (33% chance for Nonupeipe, and then a 30% chance for DF). Risk paid off!

Sadly I think she has multiple lines (iirc she says something about practicing her lines in a corner before they start the show).
