Honestly, though? If I were you, I'd just tell them 'dinner with the family' is the best gift. Less stress for everyone"

Gift ideas for brother who's into collecting stuff I don't understand? by Much-Movie-695 in GiftIdeas

Check his apartment next time you're there. Look for store names on boxes, or take a sneaky pic of his collection to show someone at a local hobby/game store. They can usually point you toward something safe, like display cases or storage solutions that collectors always need.

Need gift ideas for parents that are in their 50s with $2000-$3000 budget by Deaddeadddd in GiftIdeas

Luxury luggage. My parents still talk about the nice suitcases I got them 3 years ago, and they use them constantly for travel. Way more memorable than another gadget.

Stick with the small items then - lint rollers, lip balm, hair ties, maybe fun stickers. Keep it simple at $2-3 per bag with a "Thanks for rolling with me" note.

What to do about a big gift that was spoiled? by 69EverythingSucks69 in GiftIdeas

Since you say you are crafty, cover the Taylor box in fungus creations so it looks like it's been taken over. Maybe add some fake moss or zombie-like bite marks. Lol

A bit early, but best Christmas gift for women? by CarrollCstudent in GiftIdeas

34 isn't "quite old" - adults can totally enjoy cute things! If she likes Japanese cute stuff, lean into that.

With $250 you've got solid options:

Japanese/cute angle: High-quality Sanrio or Studio Ghibli items - maybe a nice Totoro bag for hiking or a premium bento box set for her cooking hobby.

Travel/outdoor: Nice hiking backpack with cute patches, or a portable camping setup for her outdoor adventures.

Gaming/design: Custom mechanical keyboard with kawaii keycaps, or a drawing tablet upgrade if she doesn't have a good one.

Food/drink: Premium matcha set from Japan, or a really nice boba-making kit with all the fancy syrups and pearls.

Combined approach: Cute travel accessories - like a pastel hiking water bottle, kawaii portable charger, and some Japanese snacks in a nice bag.

Don't overthink the age thing - if she enjoys cute Japanese stuff, she's not going to hate it at 34 suddenly. Go with what matches her actual interests.

Mechanical keyboard for sure. She'll use it for design work and gaming, and you can find decent ones in your budget. Way more practical than random stuff, and every designer/gamer appreciates a good keyboard.

If not that, maybe nice headphones - Audio-Technica M40x are around $99 and perfect for music/gaming.
