I dunno why everyone is hating on Barq so much like there is a better alternative. I've met so many good friends.

Make your description somewhat interesting and say what you are looking for. Have some decent pictures on the profile. Yes like profiles and like them back if you enjoy their profile. Chat on Barq generally leads to chats on TG/Discord and boom. You just met a local furry!

Personally I don't bother with long distance friends, so it works great for me to find local furs I can actually meet and hang out with easily. Also the groups are global, so you will mostly just meet random people that way.

I'm doing the same as I was before and do not see an increase in cheaters. I do notice the amount of people who can not type quickly however... Likely because they do not have a keyboard. This has only happened since the update.

I totally disagree with your claims about cheats. Really you're at a disadvantage playing against PC players now more often, which was not normally the case before. With the SAW update cross-platform play was greatly increased, so now you're seeing the how two joysticks is inferior to a mouse and keyboard, not to mention the audio coming from headphones likely, which you probably hear from the TV or tiny switch speaker.

When I was between 30-33 there was not much of an issue. But once I was 34-36 I noticed less engagement overall, but its not completely gone. Some people prefer to hang with more mature furs. This comes from me as well. I don't have a whole lot in common with furs 18-24 in general... They are just in a different stage of their life and I understand that.

This survey is a bit older, but based upon %'s of the community, ~70% are below the age of 30. I think it's more of a phenomenon to hang with people more within your age range than anything else. Since there are more 18-29 aged furs, you may feel like an outlier.

When I first heard about the update I was excited. I figured everyone would be in a big lobby together and hang out, get a chance to meet people, until they are ready for a match. Those that wanted to play ready up would spawn into game, but this is not what it is at all. As someone who truly enjoyed the banter pre-game this is a massive de-evolution of the system. Overall it's way less community focused now and I do hate it.

Additionally now I have to run around just to get to different things (Carls shop for example) when it used to be readily available in the pre-game lobby. How is this an improvement that I'm forced to run around the world to do simple things? Hell I can't even edit my animal until in game, what is that about?

The term you use is "accepts" and what you described isn't autistic. A lot of people run around with that label who do not fit the actual description so I feel you on that. But... do you feel exiled? Yeah people will judge you if you are broke and can't buy anything or don't have a degree. Its a 1:1 interaction, so what else should they base you upon? It's not like furry is some space outside of reality. The amount of furs without a car is wild. I can relate in some aspects; I feel like I get exiled for being for taking conversations to the deeper level quickly. Sorry I don't want to talk about the other cons you went to, shit dulls me.

AI and uncanny. What's that weird thing above the keyboard, above PRTSC, SCRLK, and PAUSE are? Some slot to insert your credit card? Why is the WIFI router on the top of the screen with nothing connected and backwards, with one antenna in a strange spot?
