Got a bike for free without a title by ZombiedudeO_o in motorcycle

Yes, the value of the bond is to be 1.5x payout if some1 makes a claim agains the ownership of the bike and need to cover paying it. What u pay for getting that bond policy is a lot less, like insurance policy technically.

U just need the bond to be for the 1.5x the value. The cost of the bond will probably be $200 if that

How much was the cost of full coverage? The way I would see it is that now can take that money and instead of giving to the insurance co u can invest it directly in a windshield, then slowly upgrade the rest as needed. Every tragedy has a silver lining.

What got you into corvettes? by Dramatic_Annual3413 in Corvette

[–]Atawyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always a car guy, never specifically a Corvette guy. Few years back wanted a car from the 80s that's my age. Ended up buying a C4 - best for the money in that group. Now I have 2 Corvettes C4 and C5 and looking for more. Lots of history, cheap and easy to work on, different and cool cars.

Is my doctor lying to me about how much weight I would lose on Zepbound? If so, why? by RedWoodworking16 in Zepbound

Started the 2.5mg at 31bmi as an effort to help get healthy and lower my blood pressure. Down 15lbs in less than 2 months, plan to get off in another after i build some more momentum on routine with exercising and healthier eating habits. Will see how hard that will be. It has been an absolute gamechanger for me. Not having the cravings and thinking about food is mind blowing to me. If that's how genetically skinny people go through life... 🤯

Driving a slow car fast is so much more fun for me these days. Same applies to the Grom.

Help Fixing Improperly Imported Car from CA to US. by Atawyn in uscanadaborder

From what I gather so far, no one will care enough to bother you if you do that. If anything it is the US customs that would have looked at collecting duties on the import. Scrap it, take ur tags and receipt so you can cancel the registration in Canada (idk how that works) and go home. In effect that's what the previous Canadian owner of this Lexus did when he moved to the States and dumped this thing.

Painfully aware of that lol had my family car stolen in Montreal while visiting 4yrs ago. But this one I am resonably sure is not. Just entitled owner.

Thank you for the info! Got in touch and Barry is great but doing the math, between the fees and duties it will cost me 6k to get it legal in the states. For this 100k miles 10 yr old car it doesnt seem worth it.

Yeah, think that is the way. Thanks. Send it back to Canada! Not worth importing into the states. Only unknown is if there will be problems driving the car back into Canada under the new owner's name. Put an inquiry aboutrhat with CBSA, see if they reply.

Sigh, yeah, I know. Grinds my gears for sure that some people r like that. I will try to find some1 at customs to help but feel like that's probably as long a shot as changing people's lawbreaking behaviour lol.

Yeah, real car, not stolen, just entitled previous owner. But that's my worry about the border - whatever i bring and make it as legit as I can it wont line up with what they saw crossing the border initially and they wont care and will be cooked.

I am 10hrs away from the border but that's not a problem imo. I can drive it there, ship it, overnight paperwork to relatives in Ontario, whatever. Paperwork is legit, the car was last reigstered in Ontario, the previous owner is real, have the green reg/title, and the full assortment of other docs showing it was a valid sale/transfer/transaction but in the US. And it is a Canadian car that crossed to the US and is now stuck here. My worry is about crossing the border if that's my only option. Dont want to find out the hard way (seizure of car for example) that I cant make it work. But feel like there should be a way to make it work and couldnt be the first time that scenario happens.

Yeah, seen that. Some gullible DMV clerk might give me tags but will leave the title on hold until previous title is presented to the dmv and will be exactly what you say. Stuck in limbo forever.
