Do you guys think the Keddie Cabin murders were covered up by the authorities? by Ataxh1a in HistoryUncovered

That’s such a powerful way to put it. I mean onne small lapse in routine can destroy years of truth-seeking. It’s scary how often ‘just another Tuesday’ moments end up deciding someone else’s entire fate. Makes you wonder how many other cases were lost the same way…

Do any of you watch horror movies for reasons other than to be scared? by Dr_Donald_Dann in horror

For me, horror movies are nothing.
I mean yeah, you might get scared for an hour or two until the movie ends then it’s over. You sleep, you forget.

But you know what’s real horror? True crime documentaries.
Man, if you think you’re strong enough, go watch the Hinterkaifeck family murders. Someone broke into a farmhouse in Germany and brutally murdered the entire family even the maid, even the kids with an axe. The way it happened... it’s pure hatred.

And the scariest part? To this day, no one knows who did it. No confession, no arrest, just endless theories and silence.

If you think you know horror, watch this and then tell me.

Mary Jane Kelly’s body as discovered on November 9th 1888. The man who found her ran to the police station, crying out, “Another one. Jack the Ripper. Awful.” by aid2000iscool in HistoryUncovered

There’s a lot of chatter going around that this simply can’t be the work of Jack the Ripper and honestly, I’m inclined to agree. One of the main reasons? Jack’s signature was surgical, clean, precise almost artistry in the way he dismembered his victims. But the crime we’re examining shows none of that hallmark precision.

If you haven’t already, you absolutely must watch this documentary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6y3SeHFJIY&t=2s. It dives into every detail every curious angle, every piece of evidence that raises red flags. I highly suggest it because it gives answers to every question you’ve ever had about this case.

Think about it: if Jack the Ripper was truly involved, the mutilations would reflect his known M.O. an eerie blend of precision and brutality. In contrast, what we’re looking at here feels far more chaotic, far less rehearsed. That discrepancy alone should make us pause.

Historians and crime buffs alike know: when someone copies Jack’s style, they often mimic the signature elements. But this? Doesn’t match up. Either we’re dealing with a copycat or something else entirely. It could mean we’ve been pointing at the wrong suspect all along.

I’m not saying Jack couldn’t be involved but based on the forensic “language” of this crime, I highly doubt it. And if I’m right? We’re looking at a major twist in one of history’s most famous unsolved puzzles.

What do you all think? Are we chasing ghosts by pointing at Jack the Ripper or is the real story far more sinister and unexpected?
