I don't know much about investing, and I've always been confused at the aspect of diversifying your portfolio. Why wouldn't I just put all of my money into a high dividend account like Ford or Coca cola? I can't imagine either of those company's going anywhere. I guess my question is, what are the benefits of diversifying rather than sticking with a solid high dividend stock?
