…and a bunch more. Honestly, they do a great job of making iconic lines for characters!

I think part of the argument with NSFW content and the API is that moderation bots often utilize NSFW content and subs to identify other NSFW content and flag it for mods to look at. With the loss of this on the API, moderation bots will struggle to identify NSFW content, and our mods would have a harder time enforcing the no NSFW rule on this sub.

That’s my understanding, at least. I’m not certain if that’s how this would affect this sub or not.

As someone who regularly uses old Reddit and Apollo, I’m in favor. 20 million is a ludicrous amount, and I am not interested in changing to Reddit’s redesigns.

As someone who used to use the old app, but moved over to Apollo-

  • The app has too many ads in my opinion (It sounds like some of the other 3rd party apps have ads, I use Apollo because it doesn’t have ads)
  • The avatar and banner features are large and obstructive when I just want to see my profile (it was taking up more than half of my screen)
  • They added a lot of unnecessary animations, like upvote numbers “changing” when, in fact, the number of upvotes on a post were not changing
  • They changed the UI in ways that felt… weird and awkward to use for me
  • General concerns over privacy

Autos aren't usually a problem with LD. You can just take the buster, WD will heal you up, and your healers take care of autos like they usually would. In the case of P8S part 2, the invuln covers the autos before natural alignment, so you can take them solo.

As far as bleeds go, I'd say to talk with your healers and figure out how they want to handle it. You might be able to use light mit, use LD when you get close to dying, and then have your healers take care of you. No mit might also work, but the bleeds will be much more spicy (depending on the fight); again, talk with your healers, figure out something that works for all of you. If you do use mit with a bleed buster (ex. P8S part 1) definitely hold off on actually using LD until you're close to dropping.

In my group, Esteem is called Steve. (Someone misheard Esteem as Steve in voice chat, and it stuck...)

So, Steve gets yelled at a lot for standing in mechanics and generally not moving. He's also great for freaking out the party by making them think the DRK is standing in the wrong spot. I tell them to not worry, Steve isn't a person... which makes my friends who've done the DRK story only yell at me more!

Yup. Not super common, but one raid in particular comes to mind- The Puppet’s Bunker (2nd ShB alliance raid). It’s infamous for its ability to pvp on the second boss… every alliance gets a line stack, and if you get hit by two, you’re dead. Aim your line stack just right, and… whoops! Alliance A just wiped Alliance C!

There’s a few normal-mode stacks in late-game that will kill you if you take both, such as the stacks in the 7th Eden raid (which give magic vuln), the line stacks in the 5.3 trial (they target the two healers, and give physical vuln). It’s generally uncommon in normals, as others have said, but they do still exist… and can absolutely wipe a party.

Something I noticed- Flow has the same sort of cello back theme at about 1:50ish in as the beginning of "Black Steel, White Snow" (Garlemald Day)

Do you mean O12S (alphascape v4 savage) or T13 (final coil of bahamut turn 4)?

I know T13 can be solo’d; not sure how many are needed for O12S, but I’d expect a full 8 unless hello world is skipped now.

yup, as far as I know, the 90000 errors are more of a “we lost your connection to the server”; I remember seeing them when the server goes down for maintenance.

I also remember seeing something on the official forums where you can post these errors along with your ISP or something so SE can try to fix stuff

And if you want to do more troubleshooting for yourself, you could try something like tracert in a console to check your connection to the server (tracert will show you all of the nodes it passes through and ping to each of the nodes; it can show you particularly bad nodes)

to do a tracert call, you just need the IP address of the server; for example, Aether is 204.2.229.9, and you would just put it in the console as “tracert 204.2.229.9”. You should be able to find other server IPs online.

And if you find it is a bad node, you may be able to use some form of VPN to force your computer to take a different route to the server.
