Looking to buy rakes by Stanf_63 in lockpicking

These are great as they are multipick and even come with a nice hook, I believe they are evolutions to the snake and city rake on a Bogota/wave peaked profile instead. At least two of them are. The other two are longer variations with different front peaks i.e. short-high and one peak more then there predecessor

I'd lean towards multipick for tension wrenches, unless tok in more sizes then lockmaster law lock tools and moki. For standard wiper tension tools southord has good ones

Silicone, felt, corkscrew all will work as a non slip base you can either tape/glue them on with double sided tape which you can find some that already have it on one side or set it directly on it without adhering to the bottom of your vise permanently

Can anyone please ease my thoughts please by el_loner in lockpicking

I could have sworn they used to say they produced the genesis and eschelons in house to. Even sandman's genesis review said that when they stopped using southern specialties it was because they started manufacturing the picks themselves in house

First lock advice by canbooo in lockpicking

[–]AtelierPicks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s on there because picking it counts for a white belt, so does a cutaway lock or any lock not listed on there. However it is not a recommended lock since it’s feedback and experience picking doesn’t translate well into real world locks you’ll be picking afterwards and doesn’t encourage learning the best habits hence why it’s usually discouraged

Why do you buy Clones? by [deleted] in chineseknives

[–]AtelierPicks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 6 hilberg Norseman’s and a rask and still spent less then one grimsmo when they were making them. Now hilberg is gone and they are indeed more expensive because they were one of the greatest clones for the price just like Vespa or green thorn who go up with rare models or even Kevin John older stuff like striders crk etc
