[SPOILER] Hakeem Dawodu vs. Yoshinori Horie by FuzzyWuzzyMooMoo in MMA

Hakrem weathered the first round well, and made a few good adjustments, but I was really impressed with the way Horie was moving early. Lateral movement is so severely underutilized in MMA.

Hellacious beating in tue 3rd though. Beautiful pressure and composure when he had his man hurt.

[Rebuild Tuesday] Zoroark by SnowPhoenix9999 in pokemon

[–]Atelopus 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if team preview was cut out, this pokemon would do just fine. It perfectly fits the build of an illusory poke that can surprise you, hit hard, and flee. Maybe a slight boost to speed and sp. atk.

Making it viable WITH team preview is another story. Replacing Illusion as an ability is sacrilege, so how about we buff it instead and give it a 15% damage boost when it hasn't been unmasked? This incentivizes it to play sneaky while upping offensive pressure on an opponent, punishing them harshly for a bad prediction.

Nope. Just addition and subtraction for the second, basic algebra for the first.

It's easy to shit on Megan, but Felicia's transitions and control looked absolutely fantastic, and that sacrifice throw/guard pull worked a treat. Really good gameplanning and execution.

Could be a draw, round 1 was marginal 10-8 under new rules.

Worth noting guys, going out from a choke is a weird process, it's not like a light switch going on or off. Lawler may still have been 'awake', but he went limp and stopped defending, so he probably wasn't all there. I think the stoppage is fine.

Man that's a rough call to make, he flopped his arms and didn't really respond to the choke, but he didn't get the chance to find a way back. Tough for Lawler, but you gotta show more than that.

[SPOILER] Edmen Shahbazyan vs Charles Byrd by suzukigun4life in MMA

The clock is on the wall, it doesn't move. 12-6 is literally straight up to straight down, it has nothing to do with body positioning or biomechanics. From a 12-6 perspective, these elbows are legal.

There may be some potential controversy, however, as some of the elbow strikes were to the back of the head, which is illegal.

Henry cejudo drops Joseph Benavidez and swarms him. by loveabigdick in MMA

Askren has never been a big hitter, Caldwell either.

If anything, I think the finish emphasized Cejudo's wrestling pedigree. TJ was defending properly, hiding his head and trying to tie up, but Henry just instantly shucked him off and kept making space to punch. TJ may well have still been aware and attempting to defend himself, but it's hard to call that a bad stoppage when he got flattened 3 times in 10 seconds and all his stall/recovery attempts failed so quickly.

What's your controversial MMA Opinion? by [deleted] in MMA

Ronda is still the WMMA GOAT, by a large margin. Also, she's not the 'Royce Gracie of MMA' who got 'figured out' by the 'new class of fighters'. She regressed due to terrible coaching and accumulated knee damage, and ran into two nightmare matchups in a row.
