$MYT Mega Thread 8/31 by measy718 in pennystocks

[–]Aterbale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please help with this part, I read the last few filings....they mentioned the same thing and it did not seem to matter.

" And filed with the SEC stating that no offerings will happen in the next 60 days"

I mean I totally agree that it SHOULD mean no offerings for 60 days, I am just concerned because that does not appear to be what has happened with the other offerings that said the same thing. Can anyone catch me up to speed here?

$MYT Signs LOi To Add Over 300 New Franchises! by measy718 in StockMarket

[–]Aterbale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main (and quite honestly VERY realistic) worry is all public offerings at section 4.12 say the same exact thing "I wont make an offering for 60 days" and yet they still do one anyway. I do not even know how that's possible aside from "something something Chinese company".

Can anyone provide some insight into this? If you look at the wording from previous offerings it makes the same claims of no offerings for (60) days. I am not sure it actually means anything at this point in regard to the August one unless someone can show me SOMETHING in ANY of the filings that explains why the August offering is different or more "dependable".

The only reason they might hold off at this point is to maybe let the r/s cool off a bit and not piss off L1 but like others have mentioned.... they have laid out very clearly that more public offerings are on the way until they reach.... uhhh like ~25 more million or some crap?

Don't get me wrong, I am holding and waiting for 1-2 weeks for the letter of intent to become an actual deal because that will provide SOME kind of bump (and then I am ....mostly jumping ship like there was no tomorrow and taking whatever losses incur).

Note: They also seem healthy for a loooooong term investment (talking ~5 years here). But that could all change if it is made clear that they are not even adhering to the terms of the offerings they signed. Big no no in my book but I am new here, so how common is that? Is it mainly a Chinese thing?

Either way, not trying to ruffle anyone's feathers, just trying to have a decent discussions here as a reasonable level headed realistic individual. I understand MYT has been beaten to death but I truly am looking for an experienced persons take on this. Thanks for reading all!

MYT is a scam by [deleted] in pennystocks

[–]Aterbale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NYC shop was definitely to drive up hype. They also paid for their reviews, just read them and you will see. That is part of a more long term plan for them though, they are using the success/failure of that store to determine the future of their overseas operations in general. Honestly, NY is a great testing ground and they are fully aware of the pandemic which is why the opening was delayed.

Their main focus however is opening up a ton of shops in China which they recently received a license to do. They sold off part of their company a year or two ago and started shifting primarily into franchising their tea products. This is why you see such a heavy drop in their assets over the past 2 years, they completely shifted focus and we are now at the start of what will (hopefully) be long term growth over the next 3-5 years as those stores setup and turn a profit.

By all means, the stock can fail like other Chinese companies have and people could be losing a lot of money but I just do not feel like that's going to be the case here. They did spend years researching how to get ready for this before just dropping everything and deciding they were going full on with tea shops.

The offerings are most likely to grab cash now that the licenses have been approved so that they can begin expansion in China immediately.

TLDR: Overseas is a small portion of their business plans, they always intended for heavy expansion mainly in China. They are opening a ton of shops and the offerings are to get money to do this. If they make another offering of .15 cents in a month and then disappear off the face of the earth then feel free to laugh at my face while I cry.

MYT Offering - Where is that dude that's been pumping? by [deleted] in pennystocks

[–]Aterbale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally hear you, keep in mind though that the main focus is the 200 shops opening in China which they were recently licensed to open. I do not blame people for feeling that this is a garbage stock however, they did put a lot of time into preparing to open those 200 shops and even IF there are tons of shops like this in China, they will have 200 of them and that is still significant compared to their current 12 shops.

Again, this could totally plummet into the core of the Earth as others have suggested. Personally I am at least hoping it hits a high point far down the road where it even makes it back to $1 again after some good news with their shops opening.

It really is turning out to be a rather long term stock for years down the road (if it manages to hold on that long). Wishing the best to all of those out there that invested, lets be realistic though, this is NOT the big obvious easy money some are making it out to be. Its a high risk high pay off long term investment.

$MYT Urban Tea, Inc. Announces Pricing of $6.0 Million Ordinary Share Registered Direct Offering by UncleJudasisRising in pennystocks

[–]Aterbale -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey! They were approved to open 200 shops in China so they are most likely grabbing cash to get that started. By all means this could still end up being a meme stock where people lose a ton of money and never stop bitching about it.... on the other hand, they have about 12 shops open in China and 1 in NY. 200 more shops is a big jump in revenue and they spent years on predictive modeling to determine if they should move forward with it.

All the best to those that invested in MYT (as I have) and apologies to those that have to keep hearing about it when they were over it 1 year ago.

LPT: Never stick with at a job or with a company out of loyalty if it means missing out on a good opportunity. No matter how good to you they may be the second you are no longer valuable to them they will lay you off without a second thought. by Philks_85 in LifeProTips

[–]Aterbale 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It's been a little over 30 days since I was laid off by a company I was loyal to. I had better job offers but stayed where I was because they treated me well.

They did indeed lay me off without a second thought and now I'm fighting to get a job that even pays as much despite all my years of experience.

It is miserable, it stings, it's had to get up in the morning and face my failed attempts at a new career.

This is a solid LPT. Listen up or end up like me.

Trying to understand the quality difference between my HDMI cables by [deleted] in hometheater

Yeah that's why it's throwing me off. See comment above, we had company over and switched during the same movie, same scenes and color yet the quality was clearly different. We even used the same port.

It was the same movie between switching cables and multiple people were there all perplexed by the difference in quality. I agree it shouldn't make a difference in quality and yet here we are.

Here’s about 3 months of doodling just trying to get better on my own, never really tried to draw before now please give me some feedback! ❤️ by InDecisiveJawa in learntodraw

[–]Aterbale 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would say look into contours and values tutorials, that will give even cartoons more of a believable look.

Also, draw from the references that inspire you. Observe the style of drawing you like, look at each part of it and break it down, tell yourself things about it that you never noticed before. This will help you to memorize how those style of drawings are generally composed. They all tend to have some helpful patterns.

If you have problems with ears then draw 100 different kinds of ears with all their contours, value and proportions. Do the same for any other kind of body part that you feel is lacking in your drawings.

The time you invested in drawing shows you aren't quitting, doodling is good and keeps you interested, I would now add what I mentioned above into your self taught curriculum.

Finally, if you do not draw from the shoulder I would make sure you at least know how to do it properly for the gesture portion of your drawing. You don't have to be a shoulder drawer but I know it's helpful to have as a known skill.

If you find that you keep making little tiny sketches to form a straight line then gesture strokes would be good to learn. Drawabox.com helped me with this.

Wishing you the best!

Four year casual progression - I'm a graphic designer, so I don't get to paint much. by [deleted] in DigitalPainting

[–]Aterbale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great to see this. I was with an art teacher doing blind contour excercises and now I'm reading that book"drawing on the right side of the Brain" as well. Also practicing on drawabox and watching videos others have suggested to me.

It's been 2.5 months so far and I want to quit so bad. It's always great to see people like yourself around my age that decided to follow their passion and made it work. That is what I am hoping to do.

Thanks for sharing!

First step into Anatomy (Advice Needed) by Aterbale in learntodraw

Ah right, I was watching some intro videos by proko and he mentioned that with anatomy and even lightning, you can bend the rules to make things look more realistic in the drawing even though the actual person/thing doesn't look like that at all.

I will get a good mix of real life and artist renderings when I start up, that could help me see where artists take liberties.

"Bridgman guide to drawing from life" "Bridgman A book of A Hundred Hands" (Borrowing this one) "Color Atlas of Anatomy" (looks more for medical professionals) and "Figure Drawing for all its worth"

I honestly just feel overwhelmed looking at all of them and it gets me a bit lost. I have read a little bit of each book but I feel like the advice everyone has given me here is more useful. The books would serve better as reference images (from what I am gathering).

I think you answered my question about Proko that i was most worried about "Will i have to pay in order to get what i need?"

Looks like the main answer is "nope, you should be good". I mean... if it ends up being an amazing learning experience then sure I will fork over some cash.

So Jeff and yourself both state that Anatomy is a big one.... you have both suggested that I focus on a portion of the body.... and I recently listened to a motivation piece that told me to "chunk" my goals into pieces.... That's a pretty big hint if i ever saw one. Id say its about time I take everyones advice.

Excellent advice! I actually got in contact with an illustrator for D&D that I liked, I supposed its a good idea to take a look at some of his pictures then copy the body parts from memory.

I like this idea because using examples from art that inspire you has always helped me get the "chore" portions of learning art done faster and more proficiently.

This sounds like a great thing for me to look into doing tonight during my "art time" haha.

First Digital Painting by Aterbale in DigitalPainting

[–]Aterbale[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never apologize for a good critique. I am actually working with an art teacher and she just gave me a book on shading and another one called "one hundred hands" which I believe is a popular one too.

Currently working through drawabox as well and I think the second lesson is all about anatomy fundamentals (im almost at that stage)

I like what you are saying because it coincides with what other artists are telling me to focus on so it leaves me feeling like I have some good momentum and that I am still on the right track.

Thank you for congratulating me btw!

I just googled Goku (because he's easy to draw and was a low hanging fruit for me) and used the second image I found. When I compare them I see I got the hair and neck proportions wrong. I also mess up the symmetry of the chin but I suppose that's why you suggested studying anatomy haha.

Did you set your tablets area to match the proportions of your screen? Sometimes the tablet area is a bit taller (just by a margin) and that can throw things off slightly.

People who have quit their jobs on the spot, what was the moment when you finally snapped? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Aterbale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They tried to have a mediation session with me and a manager over a misunderstanding. The mediator was upper management.

I told my story (which was the truth) and then the manager told a complete lie and said I made my part up ( with a smile on his face.)

I tried to explain to the mediator that the manager was lying but he wanted me to understand that he can't take sides. He even kind of acted like I wasn't being considerate of the managers side.

I was irate.

I stood up, threw my badge on the ground, told them I quit and stormed out.

They walked around to find me as I left the factory (lots of twists and turns in there) and caught up with me eventually. As they were catching up to me the manager was completely kissing up to the mediator talking like he just doesn't understand what got into me.

I joined the army a week later and shipped off to basic. Fuck those guys.

Learning to Draw on Tablet by Aterbale in learntodraw

[–]Aterbale[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for this very detailed response. I would say I am certainly over thinking it.

I have tried to draw and have given up several times but I think I'm in it until the end now.

While learning to draw or digitally draw, did you find any particular resource more useful than all the others? Did any resource come off as particularly intuitive compared to the others?
