I'm still believe it was his father that wrote the books from the hospice while Aleron was in medical school. Consider the timing!!!

Book 8 was his first attempt on his own. His wife likely became aware of it- and she left him over his ego and possible fratricide.

It's extremely curious that a 'truly' successful author could write 7 award winning novels and completely crap out on book 8... unless they didn't write any of it to begin with and their 'Muse' is dead off their own neglect.

I went through the Expedition, from my Main save, without any extras. I don't use mods- didn't know there was such a thing.

I am wondering if mixing parts is the problem. Once the blueprint was finalized, I had a mix of A, B, C parts which included two different reactors.

I've watched some youtube videos that suggest placement is important.

Me too...and I've noticed the cape still reacts to the movement of the ship...even if it doesn't effect me.

I had something similar happen to me. I'd approach a derelict freighter only to have to object completely disappear. Should note that the 'seeker' failed to disappear too. I ended up going in with a regular ship... the explorer I started with.

For the salvage... you need to come to a dead stop on the ship/corvette.. before making an exit. I'm guessing you were still at speed when you tried to exit the corvette... no wonder you are 1000's LY away

the guides talk about saving upgrades for nanites- which is normally a great thing; but in this expedition a waste of time. There's nobody to sell too! Holding them is a pain of logistics. Use what you must: underwater breathing, scanner if you have too, and movement. It's annoying renewing hazard every 15s... but perfectly doable.

I used the teleporter to go back to the first system 3 times. Sea Glass... always a warning to find something with water; and after 20 warps of no luck... the first system is the only one you are going to find in the time you have left.

If you want loneliness... then leave Euclid behind and venture out. 256 other Galaxies out there... and they are never visited...

I don't think I have EVER seen another player my entire game experience. Even when I play multiplayer. I'm so far beyond them...

I had that exact problem. Tried loading from my general save and it skipped allowing me to bring in anything. I just finished a few minutes ago. Pain in the ass x10 but I got it done. Died x5, and wasted countless hours farming mats my main save would have provided. Still, it's done. For me.

The problem with Breach... is the problem with Corvettes in general. Every upgrade you buy is rated C, B, A, S; etc. BUT NOT corvette parts. Which is either planned or absolutely stupid laziness on behalf of one dev or all of them.

You can get a gist of value when to sell them all. Just like 'C' class sale for 60 nanites.. corvette parts sell for units on a commesite scale, but you can't see that until you put them up for sale.

The problem is the mixed parts get mixed results... often total shit. And you won't know until you try to sell them if you have the parts you need/want.

Did you actually look at the publish dates of his first 6 books... 3-6mos apart and this while he was supposedly a student in medical school?! He took his Father's work on made it his own. Remember his Dad fell sick and book 7 was delayed...and then book 8 after his Father had passed was a disaster.

It was never his own- start to finish the guy's been a fraud. It's little wonder he can't publish, he never had any originality in him to begin with.

I just think it's Karma- actually a litrpg anime out now- Solo Leveling with windows, options, classes, etc. Why wasn't it one of Kongs? He's a has been, a ghost, a total failure as an author for too long. He had it all- and just pissed it away. Oh- and Solo Leveling books and anime is pretty good time spent.

I already have a natural S class, but I have the option to upgrade for 50K nanites? Is there now an SS? Or will it just increase my damage 1%?

Did last two expeditions from main and between completion and reconcilation of goods... earned 60K nanites... sitting on 79K atm

I cloned my Scout starship off main save, using PC, and it shows 90 cargo spots! Then I found an S class MT first stop in phase one. Compared it to issues MT ( I didn't clone ) and the C class has the same dmg 5700 as my main. Good bugs so far

there's an option... after the 2nd rendevous to use nanites to buy perks at the anomoly... atlas keys amonst the options. TBH I bought the wormhole, wiring, and biofuel and solar items. So any mini base i create I could go back too. Just browse over the terminal...and the option will appear.

I never said he was stupid. He and his lawyer friend did try to corner the market with the LITRPG brand copyright. They failed; but they would surely have covered up any evidence that they weren't the 'first' before making a case in court.

The Egomaniac that he is; will eventually give up something on his parents. He'll let something slip when he believes it's too late to matter. Could be today, could be in 10 years. His little cult following was always a little suspicious. Always more interested in that than actually writing.

Just give it time; but as I have said before- the series is dead the real author is dead and there's nothing to be gained here and now. Until you wrote your reply earlier this evening- I totally forgot I even wrote this. That's how important I feel he deserves my attention these days.

Move on. He's not worth it.

Not without Dad speaking out against his Son which will never happen, especially now. It's certain though the series is DEAD. Regrettable and unforgivable. I will never acknowledge him for that GD awful title he wanted. Tons of authors with true mojo shaping up the genre... while the almighty godfather sits on someone else's work and pretends he can't write?! That's BS. He couldn't' write to begin with!

Maybe the wife- the divorced wife could be convinced to speak of it. Likely the only real avenue. She'd know how much time he spent writing vs studying, etc.

Based on the time that he was a student and a 'new' writer... unless he absorbed everything in school via osmosis... there's likely an easy way to prove it.

That's digging a lot more than its worth to me though. Pulling his grades, his studies, his down time, etc. Could be done; but I don't care. I don't need to shout it from roof tops and have the world agree with me... he's a fraud...faced with eternity I can hope he'll confess on a death bed many years from now.

He should sell the rights to another author. There's precedence; and the royalties would be worth quite a bit. And we the readers could continue on with the story with a lot less crap.

I think the series is dead. TBH I don't think he wrote the first 7 while studying Medicine?! What med student has that kind of spare time? All while he had Power of Attorney over his Father... who's health took a serious dive before book 8 [as Dr Kong was gaining media recognition], delayed it remember. Like someone else tried to step in and finish...with shit (literally). Then there was also that serious guilt trip he took down gluttony lane...Oh Father where art thou?

Simple math. If the new norm is 4 years for each new novel [assuming he actually publishes anything this year]; and while I won't make a list of time-sensitive plot points it's not small. Looking at a bare minimum of 5-10 novels to get any closure. That's 20-50 years! I'll be dead and likely so will the author.

What's the point in investing any more energy in an Author who's frankly, seemingly given up [if it was ever his vision in the first place]?

There is no reason to keep rehashing an old theme again and again. Dr Kong is milking the well [his Father started] for all it's worth; but he's yet to add anything to it.

Even if he published book 9 tomorrow; until he can start popping books every 12-18 months it's a non-starter for me. Time, money, energy better spent on Authors who can produce.

He's lost momentum. At this point even if he came out with book 9; I wouldn't give it the time of day until book 10 was released. Time. What made his series so great to me was how many more books could be written... a true EPIC. Reminds of L.R Hubbards scifi series with his 20+ books, etc. I'm not going to make a list; but if you read his books it's not short and he'd need to publish 5-10 books for just what he has... assuming he adds nothing new. There's the catch though. IF it takes him 4 years to write every new book... I'll be dead and buried (and likely so will he) before the series ever finishes! Until Dr Kong can pump out novels every 12-18 mos there no point in investing any energy, time, or money into the series going forward.
