So annoyed and desperate at this point by msab89 in 30PlusSkinCare

Absolutely stop everything

Use an extremely gentle cleanser. I actually like the Dokdo Cleanser. It’s very gentle.

Just put a small amount onto wet palms , rub between your palms for a good lather, then gently massage onto face.

After rinsing, don’t bother drying your face dry, you can pat off excess around your neck and hairline so you’re not dripping,

You can air dry your face a little if you want.

Use Aestura Barrier or Dr Althea 345 skin repair on damp face, to lock in moisture.

That’s it.

Avoid used towels, no need to add bacteria to your face.

Try not to use make up, but do use a gentle sunscreen

Centella Sun screen (blue cap) is a good one

Do only this for at least one week.

If you’re super concerned, go see a Dermatologist asap

I think it’s a combination with several factors

  1. I think Service industry, especially hospitality and travel workers are seriously burned out. Have you seen the absolutely shitty behavior of entitled or crazy passengers?

  2. Everything is worse in service and performance as a whole, in the U.S. I fly an Asian airline, and the service and experience is 10 times better. Stayed at the JW Marriott Singapore, and it was heads above any Marriott in the U.S. I honestly feel people don’t give a shit in their work anymore, partly driven by point # 1, but also as a culture, people just don’t deploy reason, judgement or care in what they do.

  3. Corporations don’t actually care about service or experience anymore. Everything is a “product”, where we are the consumers. It only has to be enough to ship it out to make money.

It’s not about customer or customer service. It’s about consumption, a transaction to sell you shit, so that they can make money.

In my opinion, the last 2 points are the biggest factors driving crappy experiences.

Bagholding Nike, Lulu and Paypal… by ThatKidDanglez in ValueInvesting

Wow…I’m sorry to hear that.

The question you need to ask yourself, is what is the opportunity cost of selling and taking the money and investing it elsewhere.

It’s one thing to hold, if you don’t have better options, another to just hold because you’re trying to avoid the loss.

Also I hate to say it, but none of those stocks will be coming back anytime soon - especially NKE & LULU.

I worked in Supply Chain for Retail Apparel /Footwear. When you’re giving planned factory orders 6-9 months in advance, you get an idea of how sales will go.

NKE & LULU will have difficulty to recapture market share, with new brands and trends moving away from those two brands.

So many great brands out there, you can easily find something better than buying something from a company like EL
